Please indicate the dollar value on your gift card so we can determine the size of the family to give it to ranging from 1 person to 10 or more people. Local school social workers give us lists of those in need. We will match you with a family and give you contact information so you can call the family to arrange delivery and Thanksgiving blessings. Please participate, even if you will be away, as you can deliver a week before Thanksgiving. You and your family will find that your generosity will bless your own Thanksgiving. THANKSGIVING DINNER PROGRAM

Are you beginning to find 2022 calendars in your mailbox that you won’t use? Individuals and families who receive gifts from our parishes at Christmas time would really appreciate having a calendar included as an additional gift. Calendars of any size can be dropped off on the window ledge in the foyer at Church of the Resurrection, or in the Mercy Fund box in the entrance at Church of the Assumption. 2022 CALENDARS NEEDED

The Thursday morning Bible study group will meet on November 18th from 10:00 to 11:15 in Assumption’s living room. We will read and discuss the gospel for Christ the King: John 18:33b-37. Then we will continue reading 1Corinthians. We’re up to the chapter where St. Paul writes about spiritual gifts. We welcome new participants. Please contact Sheryl Zabel at 223-3228 for information.

THURSDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

This Christmas season we will be assisting local Fairport families with gift cards for food and gifts. If you’d rather buy a gift than a gift card, we will also be helping Holy Apostles parish in the city by supplying their Christmas store (where families in need shop) with arts and crafts kits, board games and hoodies. Hoodies can be any size or color, zip front or pullover. Adult sizes are especially needed. Unwrapped gifts for Holy Apostles will be collected at Church of the Resurrection every Sunday through December 12 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am and on Saturday December 11 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Gift cards to Walmart, Aldi or Wegmans need to be labeled with the amount and “Christmas Caring and Sharing”. Labeled gift cards can be put in the collection baskets at Churches of the Resurrection and Assumption until December 12. They can also be dropped off at Resurrection on Sundays from 9:00 am—11:00 am or on Saturday December 11 from 1:00 pm-3:00pm. Everything is due no later than December 12. Join us on Thursdays at 6:00 pm in the Chapel at Assumption as we pray the Rosary in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. The prayer group consists of men and women of all ages, and we pray for the intentions of our families, our parish, our communities, and for requests listed in the bulletin and requested through the parish office. Come any time and bring a friend! Rosaries are available for those who need them and we welcome all, including those who are new to praying the Rosary!
