Amen The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And also with you. I confess to almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have sinned through my own fault, Slide 4 in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do; and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God. Slide 19 On one occasion when Jesus was going to the house of a leader of the Pharisees to eat a meal on the sabbath, they were watching him closely. When he noticed how the guests chose the places of honour, he told them a parable. When you are invited by someone to a wedding banquet, do not sit Slide 20 down at the place of honour, in case someone more distinguished than you has been invited by your host; and the host who invited both of you may come and say to you, Give this person your place, and then in disgrace you would start to take the lowest place. But when you are invited, go and sit down at Slide 21 the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he may say to you, Friend, move up higher; then you will be honoured in the presence of all who sit at the table with you. For all who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. He said also to the one who had Slide 22 invited him, When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbours, in case they may invite you in return, and you would be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Slide 25 Homily Slide 26 Profession of Faith We believe in One God, the Father, the almighty, maker of heaven and earth of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father Slide 27 God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father, Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven; Slide 28 by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; Slide 29 He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the Right Hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, Slide 30 who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. Through his cross and resurrection he freed us from sin and death and called us to the Slide 42 glory that has made us a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people set apart. Everywhere we proclaim your mighty works, for you have called us out of darkness into your own wonderful light. Slide 44 Eucharistic Prayer II Invocation of the Holy Spirit Lord, you are holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness. Let your Spirit come upon these gifts to make them holy, so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Slide 45 The Lord Supper Before he was given up to death, a death he freely accepted, he took bread and gave you thanks. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said: Slide 46 Take this, all of you, and eat it: this is my body which will be given up for you. Slide 47 When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave you thanks and praise, gave the cup to his disciples, and said: Slide 48 Take this, all of you, and drink from it, this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me. May we praise you in union with them, and give you glory through your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen Slide 55 COMMUNION RITE Lords prayer Let us pray with confidence to the Father in the words our Savior gave us. Slide 56 Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Slide 57 Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us. Lord from every evil and grant us peace in our day. Slide 58 In your mercy keep us free from sin and protect us from all anxiety as we wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Slide 59 Sign of Peace Lord Jesus Christ, you said to your apostles: I leave you peace, my peace I give you. Happy are those who are called to his supper. Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed. Slide 63 Communion Antiphon O Lord, how great us the depth of the kindness which you have shown to those who love you. Slide 64 Pray After Communion Lord, you renew us at your table with the bred of life, May this food strengthen us in love and help us to serve you in each other. Slide 65 Church Notice Slide 66 Prayer for Vocation O heavenly Father, increase the faith of our communities, particularly of those individuals whom you have chose and whom you will choose for your service. May the love of God enkindle the hearts of many young people, so that they may respond to your call with generosity and perseverance. Slide 67 May the strength of the Holy Spirit guide us to do His holy will, and to be ready to offer our sufferings in union with that great sacrifice of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
