Possessive Adjectives

• Describen a quien o a que pertenece algo. (como mi, tu, su, y nuestro en español).

• Hay un adjetivo posesivo para cada pronombre personal.

The possessive adjective is used directly in front of a noun with no article

Los adjetivos posesivos son usandos directamente antes del nombre sin artículo.

Possessive adjectives do not change according to the number of items belonging to the person.

Los Adjetivos posesivos no cambian de acuerdo al número de elementos que pertenezcan a la persona.

Its is the possessive adjective for things. Note that there is no apostrophe.

• Its es el adjetivo posesivo para cosas.

• Nota que aquí no hay apóstrofe.

Example:

Plucky is my little dog. It’s a lovely puppy. Plucky loves its toys.

• Indican posesión y son invariables. • Nunca van precedidos de un artículo.
