Foundation and partners
The Charter of Foundation was signed in June 2008.
Its seven-member Board was appointed in August 2008 by the Finnish Government and representatives of external funding.
Contributions as per the Charter of Foundation:
Finnish Government contributes 500 million towards the basic capital of the University.
Donations of at least 200 million are to be collected.
Additional Government funding will be allocated to Aalto University for years 2010-2019.
The University is managed by the Aalto University Foundation

Design Factory is a common platform, innovative factory building for Aalto students, researches and other staff members and their partners
Established in 2007 being the 1st Aalto unit, (Aalto University Foundation started the operations 1.1.2010)
Situated in Otaniemi campus, Espoo ( 3 000 m2)
Design Factory is connected to electrical engineering and electronics, automation, architecture, mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, computer science, and industrial engineering and management

The School of Economics is linked to the Factory through marketing, international business and innovations. Ideal innovation development infrasturcture for passionate people
