ELBURN AMC and Capital Projects Updates Elburn Update Meeting THIS Sunday, August 12, after the 10:30am worship service. Whats an AMC? Affiliated Mission Community. It is a faith community that reaches a new group of people supported by an exisng congregaon. Geneva Lutheran would become the incubator for a new worshipping community in Elburn. We will support this community with money, people, and prayer. Whats happening at GLC? We are geng bids for HVAC, flooring, plumbing and the sound system. Up next: seng up a me- line for projects based on bids. COMING SEPTEMBER 9 AT 9:00AM. Gods Work, Our Hands. We will purchase supplies from Northern Illinois Food Bank to pack 1000 meals which well deliver to local pantries. ELBURN AMC and Capital Projects Updates

Elburn Update Meeting THIS Sunday, August 12, after the 10:30am worship service. What’s an AMC? Affiliated Mission Community. It is a faith community that reaches a new group of people supported by an existing congregation. Geneva Lutheran would become the incubator for a new worshipping community in Elburn. We will support this community with money, people, and prayer.

What’s happening at GLC? We are getting bids for HVAC, flooring, plumbing and the sound system. Up next: setting up a time-line for projects based on bids.

COMING SEPTEMBER 9 AT 9:00AM. God’s Work, Our Hands. We will purchase supplies from

Northern Illinois Food Bank to pack 1000 meals which we’ll deliver to local pantries.

GLC Family Bike Ride Event

You are invited to join us for The GLC Family Bike Ride after the 10:30 service on Sunday August 19!

Route: GLC to Fabyan Windmill Park (south of Geneva on IL Route 25)

Distance: One way is less than 2 miles. We will primarily be riding bike trails the entire route

Bike Parking: Bikes are requested to be parked under the main awning

Picnic: Please plan on bringing your own picnic lunch—GLC will provide water and a tasty snack

If you need to store your lunch during the 10:30am service, GLC can provide space (including refrigerator space)

Activities: Please consider bringing your favorite lawn game to share

Sign-Up: To ensure that we have enough treats, we encourage you to sign up in the Narthex or cut and paste this link to sign up online http://evite.me/cKrDwkf8sc. Don't have a bike or don't want to ride? No problem! There is parking on-site! In fact, volunteer drivers are needed to help transport GLC's water, participant’s lunches, and lawn activities.

Mothers Garden Brick Order—The brick order forms are on the table in the Narthex. Please complete one and leave

in the basket with payment or drop off in the church office. We will place an order on August 20th. We have a surplus

of bricks so the cost will be $15 for each brick engraved.
