Growing Spiritually

WEEKEND MESSAGE: We saw Mary leave the tomb to proclaim the Good News– that she had seen Jesus after His resurrection. This week, we find the disciples locked in a room in fear. Jesus visits them and sends them out, too. The Gospel doesn ’t tell us if they did, but returns to the same house a week later where they are once again gathered. What happens in between seems pretty important– so what is happening in your week– in between the news of the resurrection and when we’ll be together again? Have you had a chance to say– I have seen the Lord!? God, help us to see and testify to Your love and grace, in Jesus’ name. Amen

WEEKEND MUSIC: "Rise, O Church, like Christ Arisen" text written by Susan Palo Cherwien, tune written by Timothy J. Strand was published in 1997. In this hymn we encounter hope-filled prayers of the church and growth in our own faith. Each verse fo-cuses on aspects of our faith journey through communion and living out our vocation.

Lutheran Outdoor Ministry Center in Oregon, Illinois Work Weekend– May 25-28. LOMC is where we go to camp every summer — you can help them get ready! This weekend is a super-sized service project to get LOMC ready for the summer camp season. Landscaping, construction, clean up, painting, and more!
