Universidad del Sagrado Corazón CAREER COUNSELOR CAREER UNIVERSITY CENTER / SagradoJobs Administrative position responsible for supporting the professional development of the university student population. The Career Center provides comprehensive career services to a wide spectrum of undergraduate students. This professional will develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate career services, resources, and programs for students, and foster strong, collaborative relationships with faculty, staff and employers who serve our students. CANDIDAE PROFILE • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution • Spanish and English proficiency required • Two (2) or more years of relevant experience working directly with college students, required. This may include a graduate assistantship or practicum experience within a university or college career center. One year of experience in career planning and placement, employer development, recruiting operations or a relative field, preferred. • Experience and proficiency with incorporating the use of technology to deliver results • Excellent writing, presentation, and organizational skills • Demonstrated skill in establishing effective working relationships with audiences of all levels • Interest in career development theory, student development theory, industry/employment trends, and the ability to create and lead student programs and events are several core elements associated with this role • Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide career counseling services to undergraduate students regarding a wide range of career development topics, including guidance and information regarding career decision making, self -assessment, career options, goal setting, career research, the job/internship search process and graduate school admissions • Assist students with resume edit process and internship application review and submission process • Deliver a variety of career workshops and programs on such topics to help students prepare for successful transitions to careers and/or graduate school • Collaborate on marketing strategies to increase student and employer awareness of and participation in Center programs; Write and maintain specific sections of the Center’s online portal • Develop tailored e-mail communications and other written materials customized to students in specific populations • Conduct ongoing needs assessments/surveys; Collect and report on data related to sevice delivery and outcomes • Performs related responsibilities as required To apply, please e-mail your resume and cover letter on or before May 24, 2017 to the following e-mail or physical address: [email protected] DESARROLLO ORGANIZACIONAL Y RECURSOS HUMANOS Universidad del Sagrado Corazón P.
