IGNITE FAITH AND WITNESS GOD'S LOVE • ENCENDIENDO LA FE Y DANDO TESTIMONIO DEL AMOR DE DIOS

Masses are being livestreamed on https://www.stlouise.org/livestream-mass.

Welcome to St. Louise Parish! · The most current liturgy guidelines will be announced prior to Mass. · Your financial contributions are still needed and welcomed! Instead of a collection during Mass, baskets will

be placed near the entrance and exit of the church. Here is a QR code if you would like to donate online:

Entrance Antiphon: If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand? But with you is found forgiveness, O God of Israel.

Gloria: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory. Lord God, heavenly King. O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father,

you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

Responsorial Psalm (Ps 90:12-13, 14-15, 16-17): Fill us with your love, O Lord, and we will sing for joy!

Profession of Faith: I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,

he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Holy, Holy: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory.

Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

Communion Antiphon: The rich suffer want and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no blessing.

Prayer for Pastoral Planning: Lord Jesus, we give you thanks for your ministry on earth, in which you proclaimed the Kingdom of God and conversion of life. We give you thanks for your passion, death and resurrection by which you manifested the perfect love of God, offering all who believe in you the gift of eternal life. We thank you for your promise to remain with us always as we faithfully carry out your mission.

As members of your Mystical Body, the Church, we come to you seeking the gift and guidance of your Holy Spirit.

Help us to become who you call us to be and to accomplish all you ask of us according to the will of the Father.

Grant us the grace of knowing you, loving you and serving you in all our brothers and sisters. Grant that our faith in you may permeate every aspect of our lives. Help us to shed all worldly ways that we may live the Gospel with truth and integrity. Grant that we may be more perfectly conformed to you and live as your witnesses in the world today. Amen.

Mother of the New Evangelization, pray for us!

¡Bienvenidos a la parroquia de Sta. Luisa!

Credo: Creo en un solo Dios, Padre todopoderoso, Creador del cielo y de la tierra, de todo lo visible y lo invisible. Creo en un solo Señor, Jesucristo, Hijo único de Dios, nacido del Padre antes de todos los siglos: Dios de Dios, Luz de Luz, Dios verdadero de Dios verdadero, engendrado, no creado, de la misma naturaleza del Padre, por quien todo fue hecho; que por nosotros, los hombres, y por nuestra salvación bajó del cielo, y por obra del Espíritu Santo se encarnó de María, la Virgen, y se hizo hombre; y por nuestra causa fue crucificado en tiempos de Poncio Pilato;

Dear Friends at St. Louise, As we continue to reflect on the various strands of Respect Life in the month of October, I would like to point out that the Archdiocese of Seattle has signed the “Healthy Planet, Healthy People” Petition. The petition calls on political leaders to set meaningful targets to protect creation and affirm the Paris Agreement at the upcoming UN Biodiversity Conference (COP15) and UN Climate Change Conference (COP26). “We have signed this petition because our planet is in peril, facing an unprecedented ecological crisis,” said Archbishop Paul D. Etienne. “Scientists from around the globe share alarming trend data on the desertification of our forests, increasing temperatures, the acidification of our oceans and more. The issues caused by our reckless consumerism, irresponsibility and indifference not only harm the delicate balance of our natural ecosystem but harm our poorest brothers and sisters. We must remember this is our common home and we are all responsible for its care.” In response to Pope Francis’ 2015 encyclical Laudato Si’, which called on all people to respond to the “cry of the earth and the cry of the poor,” Christians around the world need to pray and to take action on behalf of God’s creation. To mistreat the earth is an insult the Creator of all. Archbishop Etienne reminds us that “Pope Francis asks all of us to consider our own lifestyles and embrace a simpler way of living that respects our finite resources and our environment. I echo this call. While it is clear that large-scale changes are needed, we cannot ignore the power and influence of our own individual action and decisions. By living out our Catholic faith, little by little, we can make a difference and sow seeds of hope for the restoration of our common home.” One very simple action we can all take is to use greater care about the amount of food that we buy. United States households waste, on average, over $1000 worth of food each year; besides depriving others who might need that food more than we do, wasted food creates greenhouse gases that harm our planet and especially the poor. Not to mention the environmental and financial costs of producing, transporting and distributing the food we waste. The pithy saying, “Live simply, so that others may simply live,” applies to the decisions that we each make every day. Fr. Gary Zender PS. We welcome Fr. Ed Shellito, a Missionary from the Maryknoll Fathers who will be at all the Masses this weekend except the LifeTeen Mass. Maryknoll is the popular name for the Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America, which was founded in 1911 to follow Christ’s command to preach the Gospel to all Nations. They serve principally among the poor in places where the Church is unknown or in great need.
