Transcript of RACML's Galleonito-Oct2012 Issue
Since 1994, World Teachers' Day is annually celebrated every 5th of October. On this Day, teachers are commemorated worldwide. Its aim is to mobilize support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers. According to UNESCO, World Teachers' Day represents a significant token of the awareness, understanding and appreciation displayed for the vital contribution that teachers make to education and development. The Education International (EI), the global union federation that represents education profession-als worldwide, strongly believes that World Teachers' Day should be internationally recog-nized and celebrated around the world.

Happiness makes a Club Strong! This month’s club fellow-ship was the visitation of the National Museum. Rotaract Club of Makati Legaspi members had the opportunity to visit one of our country's pride while celebrating The Month of Museums and galleries.
Also, we were allowed to take a pose and shoot the different cultures & creations of our ancestors that were showcased in different side of the Building. The National Museum of the Philippines is the official reposi-tory established in 1901 as a natural historyand ethnography museum of the Philippines. It is located next to Rizal Park and near Intramuros in Manila. Itsmain building was designed in 1918 by an American architect Daniel Burnham. Today, that building, the former home of the Congress of the Philippines, holds the National Art Gallery, natural sciences and other support divisions. The adjacent building in the Agrifina Circle of Rizal Park, formerly housing the Department of Fi-nance, houses the Anthropology and Archaeology Divisions and is known as the Museum of the Filipino People.
