Lloyds Steel Industries Limited have signed an Licensee agreement with Eckrohr kessel Germany for Boilers based on Waste heat, coal , biomass etc

Salient features of Eckrohr Boiler• Natural Circulation boiler

• Pressurized body is made of a stable frame work

• Down comers, headers and tube wells are welded together to a gas tight tube cage.

• Tube cage is self supported by down comers in all four corners of the boiler

• Boiler expands from ground level to all directions

• Compact tube system and hence can be manufactured in the workshop

• Drum thickness less than that of others boilers for similar pressure and temperature applicationstemperature applications

Advantages of Eckrohr Boilers• No lower drum. Hence not to take care of thermal stresses in the lower drum

• Drum thickness is less than that of others boilers for similar pressure and temperature applications

• At start up the water circulation starts very quickly due to special design of boilers, No scope for material stresses by different thermal expansion

• Few tubes are connected to the drum compared to other boiler types. Admissible temperature variation gradient is significantly higher leading to quick startup.

• Less Ash collection points and hence reduces the cost of ash handling system and power consumption.

• Total load is on four legs of down comers which reduces foundation cost and easier to construct.
