COMPANYProko Construction Industry applies requirements of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System and associated standards at Headquarters, Factory and Construction Sites.We are certified with OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management. ENGINEERINGWe mostly take Eurocodes as our guide for enginnering studies but we also have the capabilities to make designs and prepare calculation reports in any code required including but not limited to ASTM. As being experienced in designing buildings in First Degree Seismic Zones we are also capable of providing safe designs for the buildings within these regions.

FABRICATIONOur fabrication process is certified under the requirements of EN-1090 Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures. Our certified process and our application of all relevant standards not only enable our end-products to be labelled with CE Mark but also to be safely and legally used at every structure within EU. With EN-1090 we also provide Traceability of the material throughout our fabrication process. As a result of traceability records and documentation, all of our processes can retrospectively be tracked down.Proko applies requirements of ISO 3834-2: Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials and associated standards to ensure a correct and safe end-product. Our welds are predefined and implemented with the supervision of International Welding Engineers and executed by our Certified Welders. Our QC team strictly applies controls at every stage of fabrication to minimize faults and to keep end-products within limits of tolerances set in aforementioned standards and technical specifications of the projects.

As a result of applying its requirements and relevant standards along with our Zero Tolerance Policy against Health and Safety issues, we gladly didn’t face any incidents resulting with severe injury or decease since our establishment.

We believe in and apply a continuous education program for our team and providing every opportunity for them to improve themselves both regarding Health and Safety issues and in their profession. We are either recruiting employees with required education for the jobs or make them take required courses before assigning them to a task. All the employees have to get a pre-checkup before starting the job to see if they have a condition to prevent them work safely.Apart from occupational training and medical examinations, also Health & Safety training is provided in every situation required and working is not allowed in any case before OHS trainings. Our foremen, technicians and engineers are also carrying this responsibility and they are zero-tolerant about any level of negligence and directly interfere in any occassion.Our Method Statements for Erection also includes OHS precautions and processes in detail. ENGINEERINGProko Construction Industry’s background is based on engineering services and we evolved to a contractor in time. Our technical staff and company policies have been shaped with the principals of civil engineering. Civil Engineering Services we provide are as follows;- Design- Structural Analysis- Calculation report- Structural steel detailing- 3D modeling- Execution drawing- Shop drawing- Erection drawing- Method statement (inc. OHS Applications) Though we usually use Eurocodes as a guide, we are also preparing design, structural analysis and calculation notes in any standard required. If the project requires CE Marking we prepare shop drawings and documents according to the Execution Class of the structure as a requirement of EN-1090 by adding further details to the shop drawings such as; WPS numbers, NDT requirements, tolerances etc.In the case that EU norms are not requested we at least take ISO standards as our guide and also strictly apply technical specifications of the project. As Turkey being at a first degree seismic zone, we gained an extensive experience against earthquakes. We are capable of undertaking earthquake-resistant building or earthquake reinforcement projects starting from calculations to field applications which requires a specialized engineering study. STEEL FABRICATIONOur Steel Fabrication Process is certified with EN-1090 EXC3. This certificate enable us to put CE Mark on our steel components. As a result, our steel components can be safely used in every building within EU. EN-1090 Certificate also guarantees the quality of our fabrication. By applying all the requirements of this standard we are able to provide fault-free outcomes which enables a time-saving erection at site.

Another certificate we possess is ISO-3834-2 for Welding Quality Assurance. Vital stage of steel fabrication is welding. With an insufficient welding all the structure will be at risk. With the help of our team including Welding Engineers, Welding Technicians and certified welders we are able to keep our fabrication and quality processes sustainable.In addition to this we are also controlling all of our material and service providers by means of EN-1090 requirements.Our fabrications can be retrospectively investigated as traceability is another aspect we strictly apply.

QUALITY CONTROLQuality Control is handled as a continuous process starting from reception of enquiries, advancing with proper material procurement, strict inspections at fabrication, safe erection at site and finalized with preparation of the Comprehensive Quality File at the end of the project.As an obligation of a company possessing EN-1090 EXC3 and ISO 3834-2 Certificates, we are applying at least the Quality Control procedures set at these standards for every fabrication.In addition to our standard quality procedures, we are also creating custom ITPs (Inspection Test Plans) for each project depending on the Technical Specifications provided by the Client. Even if not requested by the Client we always prepare a basic Quality File for each project.

From the Material Acceptance to the loading of the truck all QC process is being managed, applied and recorded by Certified Inspectors and International/European Welding Engineers. We strictly require all Mill Certificates to be 3.1 according to the EN-10204 for all materials procured and all of our welders are certified according to EN ISO 9606-1.

The coating activities are monitored, measured and controlled by certified inspectors.We also apply NDT (Non-destructive) tests or other required tests determined at the technical specification of the Project.Traceability of the fabrication is guaranteed with our comprehensive QC procedure. All documentation related to all fabrications is preserved for 10 years retrospectively.Proko Quality System is periodically audited by Internationally Accredited Certification Bodies.

SPACE FRAME SYSTEMSSpace Frame Systems are especially preferred for large span Industrial and Commercial buildings where girder columns shall not be used. Every component of a space frame system is prefabricated and failure rate is close to zero.

As these prefabricated components are very light, installation can be done very quickly and easily. Space Frame System’s lightweight structure also decreases the load upon the building and reduces the cost for the construction of the substructure. Lightness also enables every kind of cladding element to be possible for application resulting in endless aesthetic opportunities. With space frame systems it is possible to cover spans up to 100m by a flat design. Besides its economical benefits, space frame systems are also preferred for their advantages regarding the optimal utilization of existing space. By excluding the girder columns it enables the working space to be designed or reshaped freely. With easily disjointed and assembled modules, it grants great cost and timing advantages for the construction of additional buildings or parts. BALCONIES OF THE THEATERBalconies are designed as cantilever systems and longest cantilever component reaches over 13 meters. The system is fixed to the wall with custom manufactured anchored the longest of which is 3.172 mm in length. Proko designed, prepared calculation reports for 1st degree seismic zone and fabricated this complicated structure..

GYPSUM CEILING SUPPORTWith a total weight of just 65 tons, the system is formed of 53.927 pieces including the fixation elements . A total of 2.000 square meters of gypsum ceiling support is created.

OPEN AREA CANOPYThis canopy structure covering an area of 5.500 sqm has a special coating of polyurethan paint over galvanization. Proko designed, fabricated and installed this structure of over 370 tons including the solid polycarbonate roof cladding and all decorative elements.

DOMESA large dome having a radius of 20 meters and 4 small domes with 6 meters of radius is fabricated. GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) cladding is applied over these domes while we designed and fabricated the special supports for this cladding.

EURASIA TUNNEL BOSPHORUS TUBE CROSSINGYapı Merkezi - SK&EC Joint Venture

FUNDAMENTALS OF THE PROJECTAmong tunnel boring machines using bentonite composite, the Tunnel Boring Machine ranks second in the world with its operating pressure of 11 bars; and sixth in world with its 13.7 m excavation diameter.

STEELProko fabricated over 3.500.000 kilograms of steel for this prestiguous project most of which was heavy type steel construction.

CONCRETEProko also undertook concrete works for Eurasian Tunnel using 1.750 tons of reinforcement bars and poured over 8.500 cubic meters of concrete.

Including both Facade and Roof Claddings, a total area of 86.457,00 sqm is covered.

A total of 53.075,00 sqm of Concrete Formwork is casted.

A total of 22.974,00 cbm of Concrete is poured and 1.660.288,00 Kg of Reinforcement Bar is used.

A total of 2.459.327,00 Kg of Structural Steel is designed, fabricated and installed.

The Livestock Complex of Calinos Holding construction of which started on January 2012 and finished on June 2013 consists of 69 different buildings and sits on a ground of over 100.000,00 sqm. Proko finalized the construction part as turnkey including all engineering studies, concrete and steelworks along with all accessories such as gratings, pavements, barn doors, etc. Contract value is exceeding 8.000.000 USD.
