Congratulations Congratulations to Ms Locke who had a baby girl, Isabella and to Mrs Kennedy who had a baby boy, Jack, both in the holidays.

Community Our thoughts and best wishes for the future are with those from Endeavour who have been retrenched.

P & C The first P & C meeting for 2016 will be held in the school library at 7pm on Tuesday 1st March. Parents and carers are encouraged to attend.

House Captains and Vice Captains

Congratulations to the students who have been selected as House Captains and Vice Captains (see names and photos page 4). This is an important position in our school as we continue to move house spirit. Points are awarded for participating in the carnivals, the House Cup Challenge and other activities. The Captains and Vice Captains play a pivotal role in organising student participation. We now have the facility on Sentral (one of our record keeping systems) to keep tally of the points gained.

Welcome New Students The Cobar High School Community would like to formally welcome our new Year 7 and students new to town. We trust that you will cherish your time with us, have fun and take full advantage of the learning opportunities provided for you. Our Year 7 cohort, comprising of only 35 students, is the smallest group starting at Cobar High School in many, many years.

School Swimming Carnival The annual School Swimming Carnival will be held next Wednesday (see page 5). It is a compulsory school day and all students are expected to attend. The weather is expected to be beautiful and perfect for swimming. Therefore please remember to Slip, Slop, Slap & Wrap as well as drinking plenty of water.
