Race 1

#5 Sparkle Sammy

#2 Alkeline

#3 Mystic Nile

#1 Rosebud’s Hope

#5 SPARKLE SAMMY stretched out around two turns for

her first start off of the claim, making the lead, getting a

breather and winning comfortably. If she can outsprint

Rosebud’s Hope she could double up. #2 ALKELINE had

a great trip when beating a soft group fo $40,000 foes two

back, then had an okay run when facing tougher 12 days

ago. She is a logical contender. #3 MYSTIC NILE was a

bad actor at the gate but ran well when finishing second

behind Sparkle Sammy last time. She will likely be an

okay price and could earn a share. #1 ROSEBUD’S

HOPE would likely be favoured if this race were still on

turf but is somewhat of a question mark with it now being

moved to the Tapeta. She could be the speed to wear

down Sparkle Sammy early.

Race 2

#5 Pearl Heist

#1 Ka Gee Gee

#2 Ladies Signature

#3 Moksgmol

#5 PEARL HEIST kicked off her season with an even run

in a tough second level allowance. She should be very

tough on this drop in class. #1 KA GEE GEE got in some

trouble heading into the turn in her most recent attempt.

Neither of her wins last year came in the strongest fields

and she should appreciate this drop. #2 LADIES

SIGNATURE takes a jump in value after a wire to wire

win against $25,000 non-twos. If Moksgmol and Not a

House Frau let her get loose in the early stages she could

double up. #3 MOKSGMOL could not match the rapid

Spanish Ballerina out of the gate on the inner turf last

time and ran evenly. She seems to be at her best when

she makes the early lead.

Race 3

#5 Hit and Run

#1 Commander Tom

#3 Souper Classy

#6 I’m the Sherrrif

#5 HIT AND RUN, a filly facing the boys, is bred to be an

early performer, by 5-for-18 two year old debut sire

Signature Red and a full sister to Stakes placed, debut

winner Red Fiction. She got plenty of foundation in Ocala

before arriving locally. #1 COMMANDER TOM made the

lead but was outkicked in the stretch when debuting 18

days ago. He could benefit from that experience. #3

SOUPER CLASSY is by 11% juvenile debut sire Souper

Speedy. The move to the synthetic may be in this one’s

favour as the dam’s side of the pedigree has had more

success on the synthetic than the lawn. #6 I’M THE

SHERRIF was a game fourth in a photo behind two

previously experienced runners when debuting on July

26. He may offer some value as the Beyer came up light.

Race 4

#4 Lyrical Note - Best Bet

#3 Legal Gump

#1 Bel Bimbo

#7 Victor’s Way

#4 LYRICAL NOTE has not had the best pace scenarios

to try and close into in his first two starts of the season.

He now drops in value and may get the set up he needs.

#3 LEGAL GUMP has earned minor shares in each of his

three tries this season. He doesn’t run a ton of really bad

races and may fly under most people’s radars. #1 BEL

BIMBO ran okay when finishing fourth, two lengths better

than Legal Gump last time. Although not a bad effort it

was a bit underwhelming and he likely won’t offer a ton of

value this time. #7 VICTOR’S WAY is a potential speed

threat here. He had a solid 2019 campaign where he

never missed a check and could factor in his return to the

races.

Race 5

#2 Rookie Girl

#3 Wide Awake

#5 Appella

#1 Eleanor Powell

#2 ROOKIE GIRL gave way in midstretch when debuting

on the outer turf 26 days ago. She could be the speed of

the speed in this bunch. #3 WIDE AWAKE showed

promise in her debut last year but has been

underwhelming this year, although her last run wasn’t as

bad as it looks on paper. She’s worth a second look. #5

APPELLA has run well in both of her starts so far this

season, both on turf. The move to the synthetic is a bit of

a question, although she is Stakes placed on this surface

as a two year old. #1 ELEANOR POWELL had a tough

post and closed to a decent midpack finish last time. She

seems to have improved somewhat from last year.

Race 6

#7 Federal Law

#6 Lapochka

#1 Where’s the Widget

#4 Night Watchman

#7 FEDERAL LAW had no pace to close into but did not

run badly over the inner turf last time. He got caught in a

speed duel in a tough group two back; he takes a drop

and could have a better set up here. #6 LAPOCHKA is in

terrific form this season, with three wins in his last five

starts. If he can work out another good trip he should be a

major player once again. #1 WHERE’S THE WIDGET got

hooked three-wide in a speed duel last time and came up

completely empty. His previous effort was a solid fourth,

and he draws well this time. A rebound is not out of the

question. #4 NIGHT WATCHMAN rallied into a hot pace

to be second behind Lapochka last time. He seems to be

an improved horse this year.

Race 7

#7 Sumerian Bell

#3 Hitters Park

#1 Sweet Yare N Dira

#2 Reconfigure

#7 SUMERIAN BELL was wide and came up empty on

turf last time. He is at his best on the Tapeta, and has

performed especially well in shorter sprints with a hot

pace to close into. #3 HITTERS PARK had a pocket trip

then finished best in the stretch on July 16. The 96 Beyer

seems a bit questionable; his lone synthetic race was

good albeit against easier; how short of a price do you

want? #1 SWEET YARE N DIRA got hooked in a speed

duel with Miss Savvy, put her away and was outfinished

last by the closing Hell N Wild 18 days ago. Although she

looks like a pure speed type, she has rallied for two of her

victories and may be best to try and pocket up behind

Kitchen Fire and Salieri. #2 RECONFIGURE had a wide

post and flattened out in a solid second level allowance

on turf 11 days ago. Although he hasn’t been running

badly he has seemed a bit flat this season compared to

last.

Race 8

#3 Get Off My Tail

#11 Lady Sunshine

#1 Jackie Milton

#10 San Nicola Star

#6 Samantha’s Joy

#3 GET OFF MY TAIL finished midpack after starting

from a wide post when kicking off her season around two

turns. She drops in value and tries a sprint for the first

time since her debut. #11 LADY SUNSHINE didn’t break

great but rallied well when finishing fourth in her first start

off of the claim. She drops back to the level from which

she was taken. #1 JACKIE MILTON exits two credible

thirds for this tag. This is a tougher group than the last

two she has faced. #10 SAN NICOLA STAR raced wide

on the turf 26 days ago, coming up completely empty.

Her career debut had some promise; she drops in class

and will race without blinkers for the first time. #6

SAMANTHA’S JOY ran well in spite of a tough trip on the

inner turf 26 days ago. A synthetic sprint seems might not

be the most ideal but she’s worth a look after that positive

step forward.
