“I want to extend an invitation to our Open
House and Carnival at Harbour Pointe Chris-
tian Preschool on Thursday, Nov. 2,” says
our preschool’s director, Kim Kusilek. “The
event includes our Basket Raffle fund raiser
that supports our KidFit program and we
celebrate by inviting families to come check
out what we have been doing so far in our
classroom and enjoy our carnival games.”
Pointe of Grace members can also help with
the carnival games (“super easy like ‘pick up
a duck’,” says Kim). ♥Action Item! Text or
call Kim ASAP to volunteer, 425-422-0613.

your dear loved ones who have died for the

Climate change has economic and political
causes that place the entire planet in immi-
nent danger! But Dr. Paul Ingram, retired
history of religions professor at Pacific Lu-
theran University and Pointe of Grace mem-
ber, has a powerful hope for resistance.
In socially engaged dialogue with a variety of
religious Ways (including ,Jewish, Christian,
Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, and Daoist), Paul
thinks we can place compassionate justice in
community at the heart of our economic
practices. He will explore these ideas with
participants in his Sunday morning series
starting at 11 AM today and continuing
through November. Paul will make copies of
his related book, You Have Been Told What Is
Good (2016), available at the class.

A lot of people took part in
Pointe of Grace community
meetings two weeks ago, shar-
ing their answers and questions
about where God might be
leading this congregation. Thank
you for raising your voices!
Transition Team members Joyce
Lashua and Carol Loges are
compiling the varied comments
into a report.
With Carol’s and Joyce’s work
in mind, the ministry committee
meets Wednesday this week to
deliberate about next steps. The
ministry committee members at
their retreat Oct. 14 appeared
unanimous in wanting to ex-
plore what it would mean to
stand on our own as a congre-
gation. What are models for
doing that alone or in partner-
ship? What areas of life together
would need to be strengthened
or initiated to support that kind
of identity?

your answers to the community
meeting questions (“Pointe of

not… What is God inviting Pointe
of Grace to be, do, or change?”
etc.) by email this week. Contact
