Special Congregation Meeting All confirmed members of Trinity are invited to the Special Congregational Meeting to approve mandated amendments to Trinity’s Constitution. The meetings will be held after the 5:30 p.m. service on Saturday, May 19, and after the 9:00 a.m. service on Sunday, May 20. Amendments were made to the ELCA Model Constitution for Congregations at the 2013 and 2016 Churchwide Assemblies, and these amendments must now be incorporated into the constitutions for individual churches. A summary of the rationale for the amendments will be available on Trinity’s website and at the Welcome Desk by April 19. The amendment details will also be available on the website. Please review these documents and plan to attend the special congregation meeting on May 19 or May 20 to vote on these amendments to our constitution to approve mandated amendments to Trinity’s Constitution. Yours in faith,Gary HattonPresident, Congregation Council For more information on the Amendments and meeting, please go to trinitylansdale.com/events/special-congregation-meeting-2/

Sunday Morning Schedule Forums In September 2017, Trinity’s new Sunday morning schedule was rolled out. With this new schedule, the Sunday Morning Schedule Team hoped to create a time for gathering that is a reflection of our new mission statement. Now that we have lived into our new schedule for several months, it’s time to ask: How is it going? Does the schedule help or hinder your ability to connect to God’s family? Does the schedule ease or hinder our community’s desire to embrace diversity? Forums will be held: Sunday, April 29, 10:30-11:30 am, Social HallWednesday, May 2, 7:00-8:00 pm, Room 125/127Saturday, May 5, 6:30-7:30 pm, ParsonageSunday, May 6, 9:00-10:00 am, Room 125/127Please participate in one or both of these feedback opportunities so that together we can ensure that our community’s time together is as meaningful as it can be!

FAITH FORMATION Learning for all ages

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOLSave the date for Vacation Bible School at

Trinity: July 9 – July 13!! 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

The theme this year is Shipwrecked – Rescued by Jesus.

REGISTER TODAY on our website!

It takes a lot of people to make VBS successful. Please consider coming on board to help!

Contact Lisa Corr at [email protected] if you are interested.

250 Envelope Project HONOR A GRADUATE AND A CARD WILL BE SENT TO THEM. “Retreats and gatherings and youth groups”...oh my! These are just some of the ministries that our Trinity youth and caring adults participate in as a way of building relationships and growing their faith. How awesome is that? You might be asking, “How can I help to ensure that these ministries continue as Trinity moves forward?” Well, you can do that and support these young people by contributing to the “250 Envelope Project.”

How it works - Starts April 29 Choose an envelope with a number on it. The number on the envelope corresponds to the donation amount.

Make a donation equal to that number (or an amount you find most comfortable). Example: Envelope #7 would have a $7 donation; Envelope #177 would have a $177 donation (make checks payable to Trinity Lutheran Church and write “250 Envelopes” in the Memo).

Fill out a slip with your contact information and/or you can sign a card to the graduate you are honoring. We want to be in relationship with you even if it is through an email, a call or a letter.

Return the donation with the slip in the original numbered envelope to the display table in the Lobby, Trinity office or in the collection plates during any services.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study Wednesdays 10:00 – 11:30 am in Room 125/127. Exploring the Acts of the Apostles. Bring your favorite Bible translation and join us as we take a close look at life in the early church. It will give us some hints on how to be the church today.Tell those in our group without email. And, invite a friend. Share a ride. The more the merrier.

Stewardship SnippetI John 4:7 – Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Steward-disciples know that God intends us to live in community, helping and relying on one anoth-er. We are stewards of community when we practice love for one another. What does that mean for you? How can we love people we may not like?

On Eagle’s Wings Bake SaleOn Sunday, May 13 we will be having our bake sale fundraiser in Hyson Hall all morning to support our trip to the north. This year could be a very special time for our team. We have been asked to travel as far as we can go, nearly up to the Arctic Ocean. We will be visiting two villages-Cambridge Bay, Nunavut and Inuvik in the Northwest Territories. Our team is David and Susan Weber and Chris Heimer. If you can bake, please bring your items to Hyson Hall on Sunday. If you are hungry, come and buy some sweets for Mom. If you cannot do either, please consider donating either online or with the blue pew envelope marked “OEW”.
