INSTRUCTIONS:

EVALUATION:

GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS & CONCESSIONS:

1) Instructions are imparted through theoretical and practical sessions.

2) Theoretical instructions are imparted through lectures, seminars, group discussions, question - answer sessions, etc.

3) Practical instructions are imparted mainly through practicals in computer labs, industrial visits, sharing experiences with professionals in respective fields, etc.

4) The medium of instruction for all courses conducted by the college is English.

The College conducts two internal examinations-at the end of 1st and 2nd session. The attendance is compulsory for all students. Besides this, students are given class tests and surprise tests from time-to-time.

Government scholarships and concessions are available to the eligible students, who are entitled to such benefits, as per the rules prescribed by the Government / Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. The forms are to be filled up by the students for submitting in the office before the due date prescribed by the authorities.

Each year City Premier College, Nagpur reaffirms its commitment to impart quality and meaningful education innovatively. The College has already placed itself on the skyline of the region by amply demonstrating its true attributes-dedication, ethics & commitment to quality.

CENTRE POINT COLLEGE, NOW CITY PREMIER COLLEGE NAGPUR MOVES AHEAD DYNAMICALLY….

Centre Point College, now City Premier College run by renowned Late M.D. Gandhe Memorial Education Society, Nagpur. It is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. The college came into existence in the year 2001. The College which started off its journey with just 25 students is now well established with strength of nearly 2000 students in each academic year. The college imparts education in the field of Commerce, Management & Information Technology. Various programs include graduate programs in B.Com, BBA, BCCA & BCA and post graduate programs in MCM and PGDCCA.

The College, has its very own gigantic building. From this session we have added 6050 sq.ft. area in college building. A new auditorium is also ready. The construction of nearly 12000 sq.ft. is in progress. In a span of 13 years of commendable functioning, CPC has carved a niche for itself in the arena of education making its unparalleled presence in the region. The members of the teaching staff of the college possess requisite qualification, profound experience and professional expertise to arm the students with knowledge and skills of high order. The college encourages the students to spend much time in its rich library to substantiate their knowledge. It is gratifying to state that many students of the college have secured positions in order of merit in various examinations conducted by the University.

It is a regular feature of the College to organize 'Parisamwad', the seminar contest for students at intercollegiate level every year. In the seminar papers on various buzzing topics particularly from the field of Management, Information Technology and General Areas are presented professionally by the students. This event tremendously boosts the self-confidence, communication skills, thinking abilities and interpersonal skills of the students. Apart from academics, the Sports and Cultural activities are equally important to ensure holistic development of the students. It is essential to create equilibrium in the academically rigorous environment of the College. In view of this the College organizes “Sports Star” every year on a massive scale in which Cricket, Volley Ball, Foot Ball, Kho-Kho, Slow Cycling, Carrom, Chess, etc., are held with much enthusiasm and fervor. Each year over 500 students register their names for Sport Star which indeed is an awesome figure. The students also take active participation in the ‘Annual Day’ function. The college also organizes guest lectures, industrial visits, workshops and social projects periodically.

CPC, Nagpur also has a registered publication house styled 'Gratulent'. It publishes innumerable simplified study materials of the highest academic standards. Apart from CPCians, many students of other Colleges are also taking advantage of these study materials. The College also holds faculty development program every year to further polish the knowledge and skills of the members of the teaching staff. Many informative and interactive series of lectures are held during the program that runs for nearly a fortnight.

Scholarship to meritorious students is another noteworthy feature of City Premier College, Nagpur. Apart from providing Government of India Scholarships to reserved category students, the college has instituted Merit based Scholarships for academic excellence. This laudable initiative has benefited over 1000 meritorious students in a span of 3 years. The foundation Society of the College allocates the fund needed for this noble gesture.

CPC is one of the prominent Colleges to use TCS-iON, the web based highly professional contemporary software for manning entire operations of the college comprehensively with high degree of innovation and efficiency. The software is able to produce customized reports incredibly fast thus elevating the efficiency of the College. Recently, the college has won the prestigious and much acclaimed PC-Quest Best IT Implementation Awards 2012 for ideal implementation of TCS-iON.

ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES (For Second year students of all courses)

A course on Environmental Studies is compulsory for all second year undergraduate students, as per Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University rules.

The division of total 100 marks is as under :

1. Theory paper of 75 Marks - 50 Marks for objective type questions- 25 Marks for essay type questions

2. Field Note Book - 25 Marks

• Passing Marks are 40 • Result is declared in grades• In case a student fails to clear the paper in second year or remains absent, he / she can clear the paper in third year.

DISCIPLINE AND CODE OF CONDUCT

• Students without ID cards will not be allowed to enter the college premises.

• strictly prohibited from forming union / association / groups, holding functions / meetings, collecting funds, printing or circulating any kind of material which may adversely affect the image of the College.

• The admission of the student shall be cancelled at any stage if the information / documents submitted at the time of admission are found to be incorrect and / or do not fulfill eligibility criteria.

• An employed student seeking admission should submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer and should also furnish his / her employment details.

• 75% attendance of student is compulsory in all Lectures, Seminars, Guest lectures etc. The attendance and participation would be scrutinized by the Attendance Committee.

• If the academic requirements are not complied as per the University rules, the student will be disallowed from appearing in the University examination.

• The students must maintain discipline and good moral conduct in the college premises.

• Students must not loiter in the College premises during the College hours.

• Students should maintain high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the college premises.

• Strict disciplinary action shall be taken against the students indulging in any activity which may cause damage to the College property .

• Students should strictly adhere to the College timings.

• Use of mobile phones in college premises is strictly prohibited. Mobile phone should be “Switched Off” in classrooms. Violations, if any, will attract disciplinary action.

• It is compulsory for all the students to appear in all the Internal Tests/Examinations of the college. Disciplinary action shall be taken against the students abstaining from appearing in Tests / Examinations.

• Important notices shall be circulated in the classrooms. Important events in the College, Time Table, the schedule of College and University Examinations, Practicals, Viva-voce, Projects are notified on college Notice Boards. No personal communication shall be made to the students regarding these activities and students must read the Notice Boards regularly.

• Students should take active part in Seminars, Sports, N.S.S. and other Extra Curricular activities organized by the college during the academic session.

• Ragging in the college is strictly prohibited. Anti-ragging code laid down by the Honorable Supreme Court of India has made it a criminal offence. FIR will be lodged against those who indulge in these activities.

Every student of the college must wear his/her Identity Card within the college premises. The

Students should not involve themselves in any sort of political activity in the college premises and are

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The applicant has to submit the enclosed admission form duly filled in all respects along with the following testimonials:

1. Original School / College leaving certificate.2. Original Mark sheet of qualifying exam with two attested copies.3. Eligibility Certificate, if applicable.4. Two attested copies of 10th mark sheet.5. Four copies of recent passport size color photographs. 6. Migration certificate for students hailing from other Universities/Boards. 7. Gap Certificate, if the applicant has availed a time gap in his/her previous academic record.8. Certificate from school and original admit card in case applicant has done his/her 12th privately or through

an Open University.

University Enrolment Fees : Rs.110/- is applicable to every student enrolling for the first time with Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University.

Caution Money: Rs 400/- to be paid by the Student at the time of admission. It is a one time fee refundable at the time of issuance of College leaving Certificate .

Students hailing from other Board / Universities shall have to pay the following University fees:

Migration Fees: BBA, BCCA & BCA - Rs.500 /- B.Com, BA - Rs.200/-

Eligibility Fees: Rs. 220/- (to be paid to the University for obtaining eligibility certificate from the University.)

Installment Fees: Rs. 200/- is applicable to students opting for payment of fees in installment.

Admissions of students, who have passed the qualifying examination from Board/ University other than Maharashtra State Board/ Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, will be treated as PROVISIONAL - until the student submits the ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE, obtained from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, and other documents as mentioned in the admission procedure.

RULES REGARDING PAYMENT OF FEES

1. The fees is to be paid at the time of admission.

2. Rs. 200 is applicable to students opting for payment of fees in installment.

3. Fees for all courses may be revised by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. Any increase, if applicable, is payable by the student during the academic year.

4. Scholarship forms must be filled by the student within the prescribed time, else the college shall not be responsible.

5. Fine shall be imposed for late payment of fees / instalments or any other college dues.

6. In case of cancellation of admission within 30 days from the date of admission or by 30/07/2014, whichever is earlier, Rs. 1000/- shall be deducted from the amount paid and the rest shall be refunded. There is no refund after the prescribed period.
