1. Divide the group in two teams and also the board.2. Post the pc’s face down on the left side of the board and post the cards with the names face down on the right side.3. Ask a member of each team to go to the board and turn 2 cards. If he gets a pair, then he has to say a sentence. The sentence must be correct in order to keep the pair and win the point. 4. The winner is the team that gets more pair of cards.

Option 11. Ask a student to pick out a card without seeing it.2. With the first letter of the word, ss write 10 more words.3. The first student that completes the 10 words says “STOP” and chooses the next card.Option 21. Ask ss to make a chart with columns and write different categories. E.g. adjectives, verbs, colors, occupations, places and animals.2. Ask a student to pick a card and with the first letter of the word, ss write a word in each category.3. The first to complete all the categories says “STOP” and chooses the next card.

7. PASS IT WITH MUSIC-Picture cards-A Cd player

-Music

1. Divide the group in 3 teams according to the number of lines. E.g. if you have 6 lines of ss, then 2 lines per each team.2. Give a pc face down to the first student in each team.3. Ask the ss to pass the pc according to the rhythm of the music.4. Stop the song and ask the ss who get the cards to say a sentence. 5. The student who says a correct sentence keeps the card for his team. 5. The winner is the team that gets more cards.

8. SONGS

-A fill-in-the-blank lyrics of a song -Copies of the lyrics for all the ss.-Picture cards showing vocabulary included in the song.

-Music

1. Choose a song that contains the vocabulary of the picture cards.2. Give some ss the picture cards of the missing vocabulary.3. Ask them to listen to the song and show the picture card when they hear the word.4. The ss write the words in the blank.

NB (Nota Bene=Very important)The original ideas were given by teacher Mayela Ríos González (Esc. Sec. Gral 31) and adapted to work with large classes by Keep on. Any list of vocabulary must not be taught isolated. So, the production of the target language is also promoted at the end of each activity.
