Book Week

Once again Bowen’s Book Week parade was

a huge success. It was wonderful to see so

many students dressed up and enjoying the

day! The staff also looked amazing dressed

up as a variety of characters from ‘Peter Pan’.

We can’t wait to see what next year’s parade

brings!

Furniture Giveaway!

We have old school furniture (has some wear

and tear) that we would like to give away for

free!

Please enquire at the office if you are

interested. Please note furniture will only be

available for 1 week before it will be recycled.

Keep an eye out in future newsletters for

more furniture!

Eisteddfod

Congratulations to our two dance groups who

performed at the Orange Eisteddfod last

Friday. Both groups were awarded Highly

Commended in very competitive sections. A

huge thankyou to Ms Benton, Miss Wilson

and Miss Olsen for taking the time to work

with these students. Ms Benton’s group will

be performing for a second time at the

Bathurst Eisteddfod in week 8.

SchoolStream

Please check out and download our

‘SchoolStream’ app. You will increasingly find

more and more information about events at

school, permission notes, absence forms,

canteen prices and more on this app. It is free for

download and once on your device, you only

need to type in Bowen Public School to have

access to everything. Eventually our newsletters

will all be electronic and only available on the app

so to keep up to date, please make sure you have

the app on your phone or tablet.

FATHERS DAY STALL

Father’s Day is just around the corner and all you lucky

Dads, Granddads or someone special will soon be

spoilt! We are holding our Father’s Day Stall again this

year and there will be some fantastic gifts on sale for

your children to choose from. The stall will be held on

Thursday 31 & Friday 1 September from 9:30 am till

11:00 am in our school hall.

Gifts will be priced from $1.00 to $5.00. Please provide

your child/children with money in an envelope with

their name, class and number of gifts needed on the

day. Any donations that could be used as gifts for the

stall would be greatly appreciated. If you are able to

assist with setting up the stall and selling gifts on either

day for an hour or two your help would be appreciated.

Please come along to the school hall at 9:15 am. We

hope to see you there!

Thank you in advance to anyone that is able to assist

with donations or helping sell on the day.

Father’s Day Raffle

This year our Father’s Day raffle theme is King of the

Grill. We have 5 fantastic prizes to be won.

Our prizes are:

1ST

: Jumbuck 4 burner flat top Delta BBQ

2nd

: $50 Meat voucher Alpine Meats

3rd

: $50 Voucher North Orange Meats

4th

: $50 Bunnings Gift Card

5th

: $20 Meat voucher Alpine Meats

All tickets are $1.00 each. Please support our school

and our P&C by selling tickets to your family and

members of the community to raise as much as

possible. Extra tickets can be picked up from the front

office at any time. Our raffle will be drawn at 12:30pm

on Friday 1 September at our school assembly.

We ask that all tickets sold and unsold be returned to

school no later than Thursday 31 August. Tickets and

money should be placed in an envelope and given to

the front office.

We thank you in advance for your support and wish all

our Bowen families and community the best of luck in

our raffle draw.
