Ph. 02 6362 3655 Email: [email protected] Friday, 28 June 2019 Week 9 Term 2 2019 SistaSpeak- Borenore Caves Our lucky SistaSpeak students visited Borenore Caves on Tuesday this week. They learnt about cultural mapping by exploring native plants and animals, then used resources supplied by Aunty Alice to research the use of each of the plants. Thank you to Aunty Alice for sharing your knowledge! Bus Travel Another reminder to parents and carers that from next term bus drivers will be checking the validity of every students’ bus travel. This means that students will only be allowed to travel on the bus with a valid pass or the appropriate fare. Please ensure your child has either their pass or money every day. Without this students will be unable to catch the bus. Should your child require a bus pass or if you need more information, please contact Orange Buslines on 6362 3197 or www.buslinesgroup.com.au/orange. Important Events Week 10 Thursday 4 July: Everyday Hero - come dressed as an ‘Everyday Hero’ for a gold coin donation! Boys Touch Footy & Basketball Congratulations to our Senior Boys Basketball and Touch Football teams who competed in their respective PSSA knockout competitions. Once again our students demonstrated excellent skill, sportsmanship and their enthusiastic attitude was contagious!

Kiama High School Concert Band Bowen Public School had the pleasure of experiencing some wonderful music from the Kiama High School’s Concert Band yesterday afternoon. The band has been touring around the Central West and treated students to a range of music from current pop songs to some golden oldies.
Crazy Hair & Mufti Day We were loving all the colour and crazy hair styles running around the playground today as well as those students dressed in their favourite team colours. A big thank you to our P&C and students on a massive fund raising effort.
