Thethree readings today remind us to have faith in God. We must have faith in God just like the prophet Habakkuk tells his fellow citizens. We can turn to the words of the Psalm, “Come, let us bow down in worship; let us kneel before the Lord who made us.” In the second reading, St. Paul reminds Timothy of his ministry. Just like there were dark days ahead for Timothy, there may be dark days ahead for us too. It is then we need to keep our faith in God alive with the help of the Holy Spirit who dwells in each and every one of us. domingo, 02 de octubre – 27 del tiempo ordinario el domingo para respecter la vida Nuestra fe en Dios debe ser nuestra fortaleza. O My Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of your mercy. Amen. – In 1917, the children at Fatima were asked by Mary to add this to their rosary. OCTOBER IS THE MONTH TO PRAY THE ROSARY – AT THE END OF EVERY MASS THIS MONTH, LET US PRAY ONE DECADE OF THE ROSARY (1 Our Father, 10 Hail Marys and 1 Glory Be) TOGETHER BEFORE WE LEAVE.

“Through this Holy Anointing, May the Lord in His love and mercy help us with the grace of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord who frees us from sin, save us and raise us up. PRAYER OF ANOINTING Today’s Gospel instructs us not to look for reward or thanks here on earth. But it hurts when our sacrifices and kindness are not appreciated. And this hardens our hearts, and sometimes causes us to be hurtful too. Asking God’s healing this weekend, let us heal any hurts that we might have caused by a lack of gratitude. Who works to buy the food on the table? Who prepares the food we eat? Who comes home from school and watches the younger brothers and sisters? Who cares for the grandchildren? Who drives us to sporting events and practices? Who is bringing home good grades? Who is looking out for an elderly neighbor? Thanks SPECIAL THANKS TO Señor RIVAS for the new parking lot signs. Special thanks to our partnered parish of Assumption in Westport for the very large donation of groceries to fi l l our pantry

PRAYING THE ROSARY FOR AMERICA As human efforts fail to solve America’s key problems, we turn to God, through

His Holy Mother, asking His urgent help.

We respect life, when… …we don’t take more of

anything than we need. …we are patient with those

who have more physical, mental or emotional challenges than we do. …we are grateful. …we don’t embarrass anyone. …we try not to damage our health. …we ask ourselves if our actions will make life

better or worse, happier or more sad.
