SERVE

STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT The Gospel today is sometimes called “the Gospel in min-iature” because it so concisely sums up the Gospel mes-sage. In even more condensed form, “God loved… God gave…,” it is the paradigm for stewardship – we give be-cause we love.

Nurses Notes Mosquito bites

Age can affect symptom severity Adults may become less sensitized to mosquito bites if bitten many

times throughout life. This means adults are less likely to have strong

reactions to mosquito bites. Children who haven't been bitten as

much are at greater risk of experiencing symptoms from a mosquito

bite.

Complications

Infected bites. If you scratch mosquito bites, any resulting sores

could become infected.

Mosquito-borne diseases. Mosquitoes can act as reservoirs of

diseases such as West Nile virus, malaria, yellow fever and dengue

fever. The mosquito obtains a virus by biting an infected person or

animal. Then, when biting you, the mosquito can transfer that virus to

you through its saliva. West Nile is found in the United States. Other

diseases such as malaria and dengue fever are far more common in

tropical areas of the world. However, malaria and dengue fever are

rare in the United States.

Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis). Although rare, a serious

reaction to mosquito bites might occur, which can result in swelling

in your throat, significant hives and wheezing. This requires immedi-

ate medical attention.

Next Week: Mosquito Bites, Cont’d

PLEASE- Remember to use the phone in the office or at the AV

area in the hall and not a cell phone to call 911. Your cell phone will

reach Sacramento CHP and precious time will be wasted.

WEEKLY OFFERING The weekly offering is extremely important to St. Anne Parish in or-

der to meet our operational responsibilities. We ask that you prayer-

fully consider a consistent offering that will assist in meeting those

responsibilities. For your consideration: Sign up for the Weekly Enve-

lope Program by registering with St. Anne.

A convenient method is through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

This method is an easy way to provide St. Anne with your Sunday

Offering. Enroll in a Script Program. This is a no cost way of sup-

porting our ministries and programs, in addition to our weekly offer-

ings.

Your generosity is your return to the Lord for his goodness to you.

Make an investment in the reign of God today!

PENSAMIENTO ADMINISTRATIVO

Bishop’s Appeal/ Thank you to all who have made a donation to the Bishop’s Appeal.

We have reached 39% of our goal of $16,999.32 with over $6,629 in

pledges and gifts. If you have not yet made a gift to the Bishop’s Ap-

peal, I encourage you to do so today or as soon as possible. I, along

with Bishop Cordileone, would like to thank you in advance for your

help in making this year’s Bishop’s Appeal a success.

Reason shines as an admirable sign of the intelligent capacity of man.

Can reason help us better understand the teachings of the Faith? Why

do some believe and others don’t? Our Faith teaches us that Christ is

present in the Eucharist: Learn about the Eucharistic Miracles from

Lanciano, Bolsena, Gorkun, in our times, and discover the place

where Science embraces Faith. Don’t miss this incredible event...Dr.

Ricardo Castañón is an investigator and president of ―International

Group for Peace‖. ―I was an atheist says Dr. Castañón, but after years

of studies on the human brain and Eucharistic miracles, began to find

the relationship between faith and

reason‖. For More Information and Details Please Contact:
