Classes at Immaculate Conception are held in the school on Sundays from 9:15AM to 10:15AM. Children in first grade and older, who do not attend a Catholic School, must attend CCD classes. Even if your child attended classes last year, you must fill out a new registration form this year. You may do so next Sunday. Receiving the Sacraments Preparation for the Sacraments of First Rec- onciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation are 2 year programs in our diocese. Children who are in second grade will be eligible to receive the Sacra- ment of First Reconciliation on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:00AM in Holy Redeemer Church and the Sacrament of First Eucharist on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Church. On Halloween night, October 31st, we hope to have our parking lot at Immaculate Conception filled with cars and trucks all decked out for Halloween fun…...thus “trunk or treat”. This concept provides a safe family environment for “trick or treaters”. We are looking for a few volunteers who are willing be a little creative…..pick a theme, decorate their trunk/truck, and spend Halloween evening tailgating in ICC parking lot. If you are willing to help, please e-mail Joyce at jcec- [email protected]. For more information and ideas for decorating, log onto trunkor- treat.homestead.com. Adult Choir Our adult choir practices on Saturdays following the 4:00PM Mass in ICC. All are welcome. Youth Choir All children are welcome to join our Youth Choir. Practices are on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00PM in ICC. For further information, contact Mary Supey at 237-2275. Flood Relief at our Parish This Tuesday, October 18th will be the final day we will be preparing and serving dinners to those affected by the flood. We are planning a transition to another phase of help for those af- fected by the flood. We have been and continue to be touched by the many, many individuals, businesses, churches, civic and community groups who con- tinue to reach out to help us. This week we will be receiving new clothing, bedding, etc. from St. Francis Xavier Church in Narrowsburg, NY. We have been contacted by employees from a few lo- cal business and some local church groups offering Christmas help for families. So, to our many volunteers, our work is not done. Please watch the bulletin or our website www.corpuschristinepa.com for the next phase of outreach to our parishioners and neighbors af- fected by the flood.
