Qatar Shipping Company W.L.L (QShip) is a 100% subsidiary of Qatar Navigation Q.P.S.C (Milaha), headquartered in Doha,Qatar.
The Company was incorporated in 1992, with Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Navigation Q.P.S.C as major shareholders.
It was independently listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange up to 2010, after which it was fully acquired by Qatar NavigationQ.P.S.C.
QShip owns and operates a fleet of five product/chemical tankers and crude oil carriers, two LPG carriers and two LNGcarriers. Additionally, the Company owns and operates a fleet of 27 harbour crafts, comprising of tugs, pilot boats andmooring boats.
QShip has stakes ranging from 15 – 30% in seven LNG carriers with other stake holders such as Mitsui, NYK, K-Line, Nakilatand SCI, and a 50% stake in Gulf LPG, the owner and operator of four Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs). Additionally, theMilaha Group holds a 30% stake in Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd (Nakilat)

We have a wide network of 250 officers and crew, with regular experienced officers in the Top Four positions
We have experience of manning vessels chartered to oil majors such as Shell, Exxon and Total with full compliance with the matrix requirements
We manage the crew management for our oil and gas tanker fleet through QShip India Pvt. Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of QShip, which is located in Mumbai, India whereas our crew management team for container and bulk fleet and harbour crafts is based in Doha.
QShip India, manned by a team of 7 personnel, is headed by a former Master Mariner with 18 years of sailing experience followed by experience as a Superintendent in Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) and QShip.
We have career development plans for promising officers, with cases of company trainees progressing to become technical superintendents in shore offices

QShip
QShip has extensive experience in chartering-in vessels and spot market operations, and asset plays depending on prevailing market conditions. It charters in vessels in partnership with major counterparties to capture possible market opportunities.
QShip has consistently chartered out its vessels to Oil Majors and major trading houses, supported by in-house technical management.
Operations for the Oil and Gas tanker fleet is led by a Master Mariner, reporting to the CEO and supported by 5 personnel.
The Operations Superintendent is a former Master Mariner of QShip gas tanker fleet having extensive experience of LNGs, VLGCs, LGCs and semi-ref carriers.
The Chartering Executive has substantial experience in pre and post fixture operations, including heading the demurrage team of global shipping major.
Our pre and post fixture operations are closely monitored, thus enabling us to streamline our operations.
