Problem
• A children's toy store chain would like to add a series of mechanical toys to their product line due to customer demand.
Constraints
• Must be driven or operated by hand by a single child powered input.• Only stores along the northeast coast will be involved in the test
market.• Must have at least 3 animated parts in the design.• Overall dimensions should be no larger than 12”x12”x12”.• Attractive and colorful.• Deadline for prototype submission is June 4th 2015.
Possible Solutions/ Concept Sketches
• Each team member came up with 2 ideas• Jacob had the idea of the Easter bunny that bounces as the crank is turned.
His second idea was a car that the people bounced in as the car drove. • Trevor had the idea of a wagon with shapes on top that went up and down as
the wagon was turned. His second idea was a windmill that spun as a crank was turned. • Shyann came up with the idea of a snow globe. Her second idea was a track
that marbles role on.• Hannah had the idea of a lady that would bend over and “water” a flower as a
crank was turned and the flower would grow. Her second idea was 3 chickens that would peck the ground as the crank was turned.
