ABOUT RK UNIVERSITY RK University is first private university in Saurashtra region offering programs ranging

As we move ahead into the second decade of our exciting and unique journey as a management institute, we seek to be true to the credo of RK University, which is to make students feel happy about learning, about going to class and making learning relevant to their life. By focusing on skill development of students and providing them business and economy exposure, we aspire to introduce them to their true potential and help them discover their innate qualities of decision making and leadership. School of Management, offers Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Ph.D. Program with specialization in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and International Business. The programs have been developed after wide research and communication with the various stakeholders. School of Management has been acknowledged and recognized for its work in Management Education by All Indian Management Association, DNA & Stars of the Industry Group and several other Industry and Academic Organizations. We have been acknowledged by the Industry as a dynamic and energetic business education institution which is closely aligned with the corporate challenges and expectations of industry from Management students. OBJECTIVES OF MBA PROGRAM (To prepare graduates who will be competent professionals in industry, government, academia, research, entrepreneurial pursuit and consulting firms. (To prepare knowledgeable, ethical and responsible citizens who will contribute to the wellbeing of society. (To prepare graduates who will exhibit their analytical, interpersonal, decision making and leadership skills in identifying and solving business problems. (To prepare graduates who will thrive to pursue life-long reflective learning to fulfil their goals. Corporate world constantly demands individuals who are well equipped to face and successfully overcome the challenges thrown up by the dynamic environment. Successful companies demand employees who are capable of coping with constant and continuous change, and who possess flexibility coupled with creativity required for dealing with various situations. School of Management of RK University offers three academic programs. Flagship program is the 2 years full time MBA program, since 2005. Owing to our experienced faculties, curriculum and pedagogy, our MBA students have always enjoyed the best placements in this region, and one of the best nationally - obviously barring the comparison with the placement records of IIMs/elite B-Schools. With the new-found autonomy from 2011, we have further made resolve to improve our curriculum focusing more on applications, real life case analysis, and pedagogical features including extensive use of ICTs in curriculum design and delivery, and on soft skills (or life skills) - like communications, team work. Continuous efforts have been initiated to adopt best evaluation practices, including components like practical projects and class participations through Continuous Internal Evaluations (CIE). Areas of specializations have been expanded to include Finance, Marketing, HR and International Business. School of Management of RK University also has introduced systematic online student feedback mechanism, on each course and faculty. From 2012, School of Management has also started its full time 3-year BBA program (along with integrated BBA & MBA Program of 5-year). With the status of a university, and to inculcate a strong culture of research, we have also introduced our PhD program in 2012. We are glad to say that our PhD program has been well received among faculty members and practitioners, as we have been able to attract much more applications than we can admit. The admitted scholars have now been pursuing their PhDs on various areas of management studies, where strong emphasis is given on academic standards to quality of research.

PEDAGOGY
(CASE PREPARATION AND ANALYSIS
Cases are a source of exposure to practical and live examples and so the school not only believes in
inducing its student to analyze prominent cases daily but also in visiting corporate offices and charts
a case of their own. This in turn gives the students a chance to understand the various challenges of
organizations and how they could overcome these challenges. Case preparation helps the students to
realize the various external and internal factors affecting an organization's growth.
(EXTENSIVE LECTURES & SEMINARS
Acquiring knowledge and gaining exposure from the practical world is the greatest value addition to
the theoretical base that can be availed by a student. The seminar committee acknowledges the
students' zeal for learning from the experts of the corporate world and thus, arranges lectures and
seminars from time to time. These eminent personalities are invited to the campus to share their
knowledge with the student and in a way, guide the student to learn from their knowledge and
experiences. These interactions help the students to gain an insight into various subjects.

The faculty at the school emphasizes on developing the students' skill of expressing and conveying
their idea in a sophisticated manner to build up the confidence level for presenting or expressing
their creative ideas in the corporate world.
(INDUSTRIAL VISIT
Corporate Exposure, a philosophy followed at RK University, gives the students an opportunity to
interact with prominent companies in the industry. The students annually undergo one week winter
placement and organize industrial visit regularly. In addition to interaction with eminent
personalities, these opportunities provide valuable insights in understanding the various policies and
strategies followed by an industry.
