Palm Sunday of The Passion of The Lord

Dear Brothers and Sisters, I would like to invite you and your families to join us for our Triduum Services— Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday. During the Triduum we remember the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and we will be praying intensely as we once again prepare to enter Holy Week. Therefore, it is called a week of prayer and we must make this week as prayer-ful as possible by entering Sacred Liturgies and prepare our-selves for Easter. Let “nothing separate us from the love of Christ”. I wish you and your family a Holy and Happy Easter. In Christ Jesus, Fr. Ayub Francis Nasar

BISHOP DAVID J. WALKOWIAK ASKS US TO PRAY FOR OUR SEMINARIANS

Loving God, Raise up dedicated leaders who will shepherd your people and guide them to your Son. Give generous and willing hearts to the seminarians of our Diocese who have heard your call to live a life of ser-vice to the Church. Help us to encourage and support them as they strive to become priests who are models of discipleship, possessors of wisdom and on fire with love for your people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We especially pray for: Timothy E Wheeler

Today as we celebrate Palm Sunday, our Lenten journey takes a dramatic turn. Jesus enters Jerusalem with His friends in high spirits and full of hope. The crowd is on His side as they welcome Him with shouts of joy, “Hosannna in the highest, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.” This entrance is a political one. At the time of Jesus, victorious generals with their armies returned home and entered the city in similar fashion as the crowds waved branches and shouted out their names. No other Sunday in our liturgical calendar contains so much drama and tension as today. What starts out with shouts of joy and the feeling of victory will quickly change as the same crowd a week later will shout, “Crucify Him, crucify Him.” Jesus’ grand entrance into the city is also His entrance into His betrayal, denial, condemnation, suffering and death and ultimately His Resurrection. We are all a part of both crowds and as we witness His suffering, we will also experience His Resurrection. I pray that as we enter into this most sacred of weeks with Jesus, we will be drawn closer to Him and each other.

We will NOT have Children's Liturgy of the Word on Easter Sunday.

Please join us next Sunday for an Easter Egg Hunt celebrating the Resurrection of Our Lord right after the 11:00 a.m. Mass
