Bible School! This past week we had the
“Mane” Event. The epic African
adventure engaged the whole herd.
At ROAR, kids explored God’s goodness and learned that a
ferocious faith will empower them through this wild life!
We had a fun time learning life is wild and God is
good! Thank you to the Station Leaders, Crew Leaders,
Kitchen Crew, decorators and to the many behind-the-
scenes volunteers who helped wherever they were
needed throughout the week! Thank you all for helping
make this program a special time of spiritual growth for
the children! A special thank you to everyone who
helped transform our facility into a Christ-centered
landscape. All your time and talents really showed! Thank you to everyone who so generously donated to

Please Pray for our Engaged Couples
Lord God, the source of all love, the wise plan of your providence has
brought these young people together. As they prepare themselves for the
sacrament of marriage and pray for your grace, grant that, strengthened by
your blessing, they may grow in their respect for one another and cherish
each other with a sincere love. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

the 32nd annual Focus on Life Benefit Dinner will be
Congressman from South Carolina Trey Gowdy.
Representative Gowdy fought to uphold the
Constitution and to protect the dignity of human life.
Don’t miss this evening of celebrating life and
championing the prolife cause. Tables are $1,000 for 10
people, so gather a group of 10 friends at $100 per
seat. For more information or to receive a sponsorship packet contact: Jean Ricord (616-566-1575) or GRRTL
office directly. ($500 deposit per table due no later than
Sept 7)
Michigan Values Life
A statewide signature gathering effort is now underway
across Michigan to ban the dismemberment abortion
procedure. Over the next few months, the signatures of
400,000 registered voters are needed to bring this
measure before Michigan lawmakers. Contact the parish
office to sign the dismemberment abortion petition and make your pro-life voice
heard today. There is also a second petition drive from the “Michigan Heartbeat
Coalition.” The petition language would prohibit any abortion after cardiac activity is
detected (approximately 6-8 weeks of gestation). While the intent of this legislation is
honorable, there is cause for great concern. Michigan law already protects all unborn
children, once a heartbeat is detected and even prior to its detection. This heartbeat
petition drive could weaken and potentially supersede Michigan’s existing pro-life law.
Therefore, Michigan Catholic Conference and the Catholic bishops in this state
are not supporting the heartbeat drive: www.micatholic.org/MichiganValuesLife/.
