LEARNING TO LEARN WWW.DELEGATE-P.SCHOOLS.NSW.EDU.AU Principal’s Report Well we are in the last week, how fast did that term go, whoosh! Thank you so much to the staff, students and parents who helped make this such an enjoyable term. Our performances of ‘Pirates versus Mermaids’ will begin with the matinee tomorrow at 1pm. In the audience will be K-2 students from Bombala Public School and Geraldine Dyer and members involved with Bombala Contact Group and hopefully some local folk. Most of the students will take their costumes home so they will come dressed for the Thursday evening performance. This performance begins at 6:45pm so we would like the students at the Delegate School of Arts no later than 6:15pm. Please remember a gold coin donation, there is a raffle on the night and please bring a plate for supper to share after the performance. Looking forward to a ship shape performance from the students. Other important school business is a reminder to return your five(5) responses to ’What is a great education in the 21 st century?’ These readings and response sheet were given out last Friday and need to be returned as soon as possible. If there has been no response recorded we will contact you by telephone as we value all your positive responses. I will officially be on Long Service Leave for the first six weeks of Term 4. You will see me at school during this time. Mrs. Bucholtz will be Acting Principal and Ms. Cottrell will be on class 3,4 and 5. Sherri Olding and Matthew Farran will be working on a part time basis. I wish everyone a happy, healthy and safe holiday! Carol Sellers Principal ISSUE 33 – TERM 3 - WEEK 10 Around the School On Monday 7 th September K12 participated in a Toy Box Incursion Day as part of their integrated unit on past and present family. The class engaged in a range of interactive, hands-on activities relating to toys. We were also joined by Ms. Goodman's Year One/Two class from Bombala Public School. Their were smiles all round and the class thoroughly enjoyed making new friends and learning all about toys! *More happy snaps on the final page. Rehearsals for our upcoming production of Pirates versus Mermaids is in full swing. On the next page is a sneak peak of how it’s coming along.
