2020 het jaar waar niets nog normaal verloopt...

Ook de primeurcampagne voor Bordeauxwijnen, die normaal begin april aanvangt, heeft een tweetal maanden vertraging opgelopen. Helaas konden we de wijnen dit jaar niet zelf gaan proeven, maar ons netwerk ter plaatse heeft wel reeds stalen kunnen proeven. 2019 is een

zeer goed jaar in Bordeaux en wat zeker ook is meegenomen is dat de prijzen lager liggen dan in vintage 2018.

U zal zien dat wij ook tijdens deze Primeurcampagne zeer scherpe prijzen aanbieden. Wees er snel bij want de beschikbare hoeveelheden van deze toppers zijn soms uiterst beperkt.

Ch Laroque is onze hartedief in 2019. Dit minder gekende kasteel verraste reeds in 2018, de prach-tige 2019 overtreft alles. De vinificatie is in handen van het team van Ch Beauséjour Duffau Lagarosse. In 1996 werd deze veelbelovende biowijn verheven tot de welverdiende status ‘grand cru classé’.

Parker 95-97/100 Deep garnet-purple in color, it bursts from the glass with bold scents of blueberry preserves, Black Forest cake, dark chocolate and lilacs with underlying hints of aniseed, espresso and pencil lead plus a waft of smoked meats. Me-dium to full-bodied, the palate is completely filled with dark, seductive berry layers and a whole myriad of savory nuanc-es, framed by wonderfully soft, velvety tannins and fantas-tic freshness, finishing very long and perfumed. Beautiful!

James Suckling 94-95/100This is very minerally and stony with crushed cement. Me-dium to full body and firm, polished tannins. It’s floral and complex. So fresh and bright. Wonderful balance to this. Ele-gance and drinkability. Better than the 2018. One of best ever.

Full-bodied, densely packed and with a rock-solid structure, the constrained flavor layers are just waiting to explode; it’s framed by firm, exquisitely ripe, rounded tannins and this vineyard’s signature freshness, finishing with epic length and depth. Quaking with latent power and shimmering with a kaleidoscope of electric flavors, this could only be Pavie.

Decanter 94/100The Merlots were so good this year that most have gone into the first wine, giving this a higher percentage of Cab-ernet Sauvignon than usual and making it a serious Dame de Montrose, with clear ageing potential. Elegant and balanced, with purity and juicy black fruits. It has that savoury Cabernet quality which is very Médocain, this is absolutely one to look out for, packed with estate sig-nature. 30% new oak. 43% of total production. 4% Petit Verdot completes the blend. Lovely new label here also, with rose gold roses across it.Drinking Window 2025 - 2040
