OneDrive URL: https://onedrive.live.com/about/en-ie/download/ OneDrive is preinstalled on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

• OneDrive for IT Sligo users can be accessed via http://office365.itsligo.ie/

• Installation steps for users without an existing OneDrive installation :

 1.Install the Windows version of the new OneDrive for Business sync client2.Download the Deployment Package, open the folder and run DefaultToBusinessFRE.reg and then EnableAddAccounts.reg

3.Go to start -> Microsoft OneDrive - sign in with username@campus.itsligo.ie (note change from @itsligo.ie) and user account password

• Installation steps for users with an existing OneDrive installation :

1.Close any open instance of the OneDrive application from the taskbar - right click the icon and "exit"2.Download the Deployment Package, open the folder and run EnableAddAccounts.reg3.Relaunch the program from Start -> Microsoft OneDrive  4.Right click the taskbar icon and go to "settings" - under add an account click "Add a business account“

5.Sign in with username@campus.itsligo.ie (note change from @itsligo.ie) and user account password

Note when fully configured both IT Sligo and Personal accounts will work side by side with both listed in Windows Explorer and also have individual task bar icons.

• Initial Setup : Setting sync folder location

The first time you sign in to the application you will step through a wizard. The first page This is your OneDrive folder will ask you to set a location for the folder, by default it chooses “C:\Users\username\OneDrive - Institute of Technology Sligo” although this location can be changed as seen below.

Next, on the Sync files from your OneDrive screen, choose the folders you want to sync, and select Next. 

• Document sharing using OneDrive website:

To share documents and folders it's best to use the OneDrive website accessed from http://office365.itsligo.ie/ and clicking the tiles icon in the top left followed by the OneDrive icon. 

Right click the folder/file to share and click "Share“ or “Get a link”

• Document sharing using OneDrive website:

When choosing how to share there are a number of options: - Invite People: Using the IT Sligo email address book and a choice of can edit / can view

 

- Get a link: Choose permissions to allow recipients and generate a link for a website posting

- Share with: Shows a list of the existing permissions and give the choice to stop sharing or share with everyone. Advanced permissions can be set here also.
