It has been a busy couple of weeks at Cobar High with students away attending extra-curricular activities and visitors to our school.
We have also, for the last 3 weeks, hosted 4 third year nurses from the Gold Coast and Lismore Universites who have been working on an important health promotion within our school to design and implement a tailored health program. This pilot program will not only help our female students in Years 9 and 10, but will also help students in Western New South Wales. Cobar High School currently has 6 students away at Schools Spectacular at the moment. This is a fantastic opportunity for these students to work with experts in dance and drama such as the Bangarra Dance Company.
The school has just completed its first full day transition for Year 6 students from St Johns and Cobar Public schools. Feedback from the event is fantastic and students are excited to take the next step in their educational journeys.
Finally, how could I write this without mentioning the outgoing Year 12 class of 2019. These students have now completed the exams and had their formal and I must say that everyone who attended had a fantastic time celebrating the completion of Year 12 with the students.
