Principal’s Report
Another busy week!
Congratulations to the girls who travelled to Dubbo for Netball with
Mrs Carter on Wednesday. You should be very proud of your
achievements, three wins and one loss! The commitment towards your
training has paid off. Thank you to Mrs Carter for being a wonderful
coach and organising travel. We appreciate and thank the parents who
provided transport for the girls.
All the students in 5/6B were given a letter stating that Mr Holt will be
their teacher for the remainder of the year commencing week 6. We
thank Mrs Mitchell for your hard work this term. The students have
enjoyed working with you as have the teachers in Zinc Team. It has
been lovely having you back at our school. Mr Holt is looking
forward to working with the students and parents in 5/6B. 5/6MH
students are pleased that Mr Holt will still be next door. I have
enjoyed working with Mr Holt this semester and thank him for his
support and commitment.
Mr Harvey, Mrs Harvey, Mrs Fennamore, Mrs H Knight and Mr Finn
are in Sydney visiting Lomandra School for professional learning.
Lomandra School caters for students in Year 5 to Year 12 with severe
challenging behaviours and/or emotional disturbances.
Mrs Lee and Mrs S Knight are currently in Dubbo for Early Action for
Success training. The information from this professional learning ex-
perience will provide further strategies for teachers to implement in
numeracy and literacy.
Thank you to all our staff for always ensuring that our students are
provided with opportunities to be included in as many learning and
fun activities as possible. Yesterday was a fine example of our
students participating in National Simultaneous Storytime. So many
amazing costumes! Thank you Mrs Whiteman for organising this
event. It was wonderful to see the preschoolers from both local
Preschools attending along with the students in Year 7 from Cobar
High. Thank you also to all the staff who were involved.
Students remember to start collecting your 10 merit awards for our
PBL Shining Day in week 10 this term. The 10 merit awards will need
to be in by Friday week 9.

Who Got
Spotted
this week? Jayden Morris
Ernie was super impressed when he spotted
Jayden Morris being a responsible student.
Jayden saw a younger student on the oval
with property from the library. Jayden
explained to the student that the item
couldn't be taken onto the oval and got the
student to return the item.
Thank you Jayden for looking after our
school property!
Luca Lang
Ernie was looking into the window
of KM last week and saw Luca
being a great Learner. Luca was
participating to the best of his
ability by showing his best 5L’s
and listening to the teacher’s
instructions.
Fantastic work Luca!
