Q magazine

Masthead- They have put a red block In the corner of the magazine and put there white “Q” on top of it to create more of an effect. They have place half the masthead behind Dave Grohls because its such a well known magazine people will know what it is just from that.

Main coverline- The main coverline has a larger font to the rest of the text on the cover of the magazine. It is the only text on the cover to run all the way the cross the page. The coverline is in white writing on dark background, they have done this to make the coverline stand out and give a better effect.

Coverline- “143 NEW ALBUMS RATED” the “143” is in a large black font and is the only numbers on the front of the magazine so it stands out that bit more. “NEW ALBUMS RATED” is in a red font to go with the rest of the magazine.

Barcode- The barcode has the price and the date of issue “may 2011 £3.99

Masthead- The font looks like cut pains of black glass, and some of the edges it looks like its been chipped down.

Main coverline- The main coverline has the largest font on this front cover. Instead of using the font the magazine would like they have used the band logo so people will be able to recognize it much easier.

Coverline- On most of the coverlines they talk about very well known bands that will appeal to there audiences.

Barcode- The barcode has the price and the date of issue on it.

They have put a competition to win a bottle of motor head red wine, they have put “win” in a yellow jazzy font.

Cover picture- All the cover images link in with the coverlines.

Pull quote- Its in a black font and it looks like it has been hand written with a marker, this gives it an effect that makes it stand out more.
