Ex 40:34 “Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle”.

There is something about the glory of God that continues to intrigue me and has done so from an early age and it was scriptures like this one that really stirred a deeper sense of awe in my heart causing a passionate desire to know God in such a way that His glory would manifest in me. I wanted this manifestation to become an integral part of my life so that he would be honored to such a degree that His glory would draw the attention of those who I came in contact with to the heart of the One I served. I am sure that as you read this, you can identify with the desire of my heart. Since the day we gave our lives to Jesus, something changed on the inside of us and even though we know it is Christ, the feeling of jubilation we now have after He saved us, is almost indescribable in itself and yet it motivates us to embrace every moment in our quest to honor Him.

Act 1:4-5 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John was baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit”.

During this time, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and the glory of God manifested in the form of fire on their heads and equipped with the power of God, their actions drew the attention of the people.

Some thought they were drunk, but the sound of worship was audible and infectious and it was at this time that Peter got up and began to share Jesus with the crowd that had gathered and the Bible tells us that three thousand men got saved that day.

The point I am trying to make is this, when we were filled with the Holy Spirit, we became the temple of the Living God and His glory is now with man. We have become the vessels of honor and the light of His glory now shines through us, drawing men to the Christ we serve. The glory now manifests in us and becomes an instrument of influence, which will touch the lives of those we come in contact with.

Friend, the tabernacle of God is now dwells on the inside of each and every Spirit-filled believer and His glory manifest in such a way that it catches the attention of those we come in contact with.

My prayer is simply this, may our hearts recognize the glory that we now have residing on the inside as we live to honor Him with all that we are…

Ek het een Saterdagaand vroeg met my 3 jarige kleinseun, Gerald, gaan stap. Sy mangels is daardie week uitgehaal en hy was baie siek en wou niks eet of drink nie. Ek sê toe vir hom hy moet my baie styf vashou dan bid ek vir hom. Ek vra toe die Heilige Gees om hom aan te raak en sy seer weg te vat. Ek het baie lank vir hom gebid en toe ons by die huis kom, toe gaan lê hy op die grond met sy hande in die lug en sê die heeltyd Jesus maak my gesond. . .en hy lag. Toe gaan sit ek by hom en vertel vir hom dat Jesus kinders kan gesond maak. Ek vertel hom baie van Jesus. Hy het van die volgende dag af weer begin eet en drink en was nie meer so siek nie. Dankie Here dat U hom aangeraak het!

Ek was vanjaar op my 3de vrouekamp te Bergkroon, Wellington. Hiermee wil ek net ons vroue in die gemeente en ook van ander denominasies aanmoedig - STAAN OP! GAAN! Dit is nie net ‘n tyd om jouself af te sonder nie, maar ook jou spesiale afspraak met God. Elke jaar berei Hy vir ons ‘n feesmaal voor, al wat Hy van ons verwag is om te kom aansit en geniet dit wat Hy vir ons voorberei het. Let wel: Ek sê nie dat dit net op kampe gebeur nie, maar dit is net anders. Jy kom huis toe met nuwe krag en met meer ywer vir die res van die jaar. Hierdie jaar het ‘n spanbou-item gehad wat ek by die sel toegepas het - GELUKKIG het niemand hoestroop nodig gehad nie (Die wat daar was sal verstaan). Weereens, dankie aan ons leiers wat die kamp so spesiaal gemaak het - Aan God al die eer. Julle was ook awesome! Ek vertrou dat die vroue wat daar was, het hulle matte daar gelos. Ons het nie ekstra bagasie nodig nie. AmenWees geseënd, Geseëndes van die Here - 1 Petrus 1:2-5

‘n Rukkie gelede het ons sel besoek af gelê by die kinder-afdeling van Paarl Hospitaal. Ons was ‘n bietjie laat en Chrisanda deel met my van ‘n seuntjie wat nie wou hê hulle moes vir hom bid nie. Hagar se redenasie was dat hy nie wou huistoe gaan nie. My reaksie was “Wow! as almal hier net daai geloof van hom kan hê.” Hagar het geglo as daar vir hom gebid word, sal hy gesond word. Daar was 25 kinders in die sale; met navrae was daar net 3 kinders oor (Hagar ingesluit). Sy mammie, Adré, ht ‘n week later gevra dat ons hom moet kom besoek by die hospitaal want hy wil nou huistoe gaan. God is Good!

I had to leave school when I was in Standard 8 because of bad choices that I had made and had to face the consequences there of… But God lifted me up and out of my circumstances; He had a plan and purpose for my life – far greater than I had ever dreamt of.

Today I stand back in awe and can see how far God has carried me through the years. He has ALWAYS been there even through the darkest times of my life.

Occupation: In 1997 I was ordained as a Pastor in East London, that is where my love for teaching began – Today by the grace of God I am an international facilitator and work at the SAPS Paarl Training Academy as a Chaplain and am humbled at the opportunity that I have to teach the Generals and Brigadiers.

I do not see my occupation as a job – but as my ministry! Through my teaching I am able to reach out to hundreds of students each day and show them the love of Christ and if they are willing to listen, share the Good News.

Wie van julle het al die volgende vrae in die lewe gevra!? Waar was God? Het Hy nie geweet dit gaan gebeur nie? As Hy het, hoekom het Hy dit nie gestop nie? Gee Hy nie om oor my nie en hou daarvan dat sulke goed met my gebeur? Of is Hy goed, maar nie sterk genoeg om sulke goed te keer nie?

Die antwoorde vir al die vrae word in die Bybel aangetref! Die groot “issue” hier is God se liefde. Ja God weet presies wat gaan wanneer gebeur en Hy het ook die krag om dit te stop! God is liefde en Hy is so lief vir ons…dat Hy ons die opsie gegee het om te kies …ons kan of God se manier leef of volgens die wereld. As Hy ons verplig het om Hom lief te hê was ons almal in slawerny. Die is die sleutel tot al julle vrae God het ons die keuse gegee om Hom te kies en lief te hê..as ons nie doen nie kies ons die wereld! JOU BESLUIT SAL NAGEVOLGE HE…MAAK NIE SAAK WAT JY KIES NIE!!!

Wat is die verskil tussen die wereldse manier en as jy jou rug op die wereld draai en God volg? Nou loop God saam met jou in die hartseer en seer van die wereld en jy is nie meer alleen nie…dis die verskil! Ons leef steeds in 'n gebroke wereld!

Julle sien daar is nie 'n quick fix vir die hartseer van die lewe nie. Ons almal het al of gaan steeds daar deur. Die realiteit van 'n gebroke wereld slaan ons elke dag soos 'n vuis hou in die gesig! As ons God gefokus is…gaan ons Godelike besluite neem, maar as ons wereld gefokus is, gaan ons wereldse besluite neem.

In die begin het God Adam en Eva gemaak..en Hy het vir hulle vrye wil gegee, maar ook reels. Daar was nie sonde, slegte reels! God wou nie he Adam en Eva moes sondig nie, maar Hy het hulle so lief gehad dat hy die opsie vir hulle gegee het! God het nie sonde gemaak nie, maar wel keuses!

Ons kies sekere goed en aanvaar sekere goed en dit het sekere nagevolge. Dis hoekom Jesus gekom het om weereen vir ons te laat verstaan ons het 'n keuse en daar is hoop!

God wou nooit he sonde, hartseer, pyn, ens moes deel van die wereld wees nie, maar Hy het dit toegelaat omdat Hy ons lief het en ONS DIE KEUSE GEGEE HET!!! Jy is verantwoordelik vir jou eie besluite!

In die wereld kyk mense met ander standaarde daarna: Hulle kyk uit 'n sosiale teorie, mense regte en opinies! Die standaarde lei gewoonlik na meer vrae en redenasies.

Watse standaarde volg ons? Die regte waarvoor almal stem. Hoekom? Almal is in die meerderheid. God se standaarde is hoër as die meerderheid. Hitler was in die meerderheid in Duitsland en dis hoekom hy kon doen wat hy wou…maak dit, dit wat hy gedoen het reg? NEE! Maar hy kon want hy het die steun van die mense gehad…of dit nou reg of verkeerd was

Om die regte besluite te neem, begin by die dien van die Here. Hoe verander ons, ons mind set om positief te dink? Net met Jesus!!! Weet julle ons kan die ding uit redeneer en oopkrap tot op die been, maar op die einde van die dag gaan ons elke keer op dieselfde ding eindig…JESUS!

Romans 8:18 “I consider (circle “consider”) that our present sufferings are not worthcomparing (circle “comparing”) with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

Spr 22:3 'n Verstandige mens sien onheil kom en vermy dit; onervare mense loop oop oë daarin en boet daarvoor.

Daar is goeie nuus. Rom 2: 28 sê die volgende “We know that God causes everything [circle “everything”] to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” Maak nie saak waardeur jy gaan nie en dit maak nie saak hoe jy voel nie, God is besig en het 'n plan. Daar is wel 'n baie belangrike deel in die skrif. Julle sien alles sal te goede mee werk AS JY DIE HERE LIEF HET! Baie van ons soek die voordele sonder om God te ken of Hom lief te hê.

Baie van julle het julle 1ste liefde verloor. Wat bedoel ek met dit? Jou werk, jou man of vrou, sport, slaap, ens het jy so lief voor geraak dat Jesus nie regtig 'n proititeit in jou lewe is nie. Wie sê jy moet elke oggend opstaan? GOD DOEN. Wie het gesê jy sal kan sien, loop, praat, ruik, ens? GOD HET. Wie het jou die geleentheid gegee om hierdie artikel te lees? GOD HET. Ons moet ophou vas kyk in die klein goedjies en probleme van die lewe en God soek.

Step 2: Open your heart. I now know thatGod exists, that I matter to Him, and thatHe is the only One who has the power to

(Matthew 5:8).

Isaiah 43:3, “But now the Lord that created you is real. Don't be afraid for I have called you by name. You are Mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be

Step 5: Embrace God's way. I will stopdoing things my way and put my life onthe path that leads toward God's way.

Step 6: Ask for forgiveness. I will offerforgiveness to those who have hurt me,

and I will ask for forgiveness for anywrong I've done to others.

Happy are the merciful. Happy are thepeacemakers (Matthew 5:7,9).

Step 7: Live for God. I will set aside sometime for God each day to examine my life,read my Bible, and pray so that I have the

power to live God's way.Happy are those who know they are

spiritually poor (Matthew 5:3).

Step 8: Share with others. I will take themessage that God heals to others in need

and share it by my words and actions.Happy are those who are persecutedbecause they do what God requires

(Matthew 5:10).

aastyd behoort die hoogtepunt van elke P Christen se jaar te wees. Dit is wanneer ons weer onthou hoe Jesus Christus vir ons sondes betaal het. Dit laat ‘n mens ook wonder – hoe sou die lewe gewees het as Jesus nié in ons plek gesterf het nie?

Van Adam se tyd af het God ‘n pad met die mens geloop om vir hom te leer hoe die lewe en goed en kwaad werk. Hy het vir die mens tien gebooie gegee om te onderhou, maar die mense het maar elke keer misluk en kon dit nog nooit regkry om dit self te gehoorsaam nie. Hy het later vir hulle geleer van offers en hoe dinge in die tabernakel en tempel moet werk. Een van die dinge wat die mens hieruit geleer het, is dat ‘n mens 100% rein moet wees om in God se teenwoordigheid te kom, anders sal jy sterf. Die ander ding was dat sonde nie ongestraf kan bly nie – dan kleef dit nog steeds aan jou vas. Iemand moet die prys betaal.

As Jesus nie gesterf het nie sou ons, of met ons eie goeie dade moes probeer om ons lewe te behou en naby God te kom (wat onmoontlik is!) of maar moes vrede maak met die feit dat daar geen hoop vir ons is nie. Watter hartseer, hopelose, Godverlate lewe sou dit nie wees nie! As Jesus nie gesterf het nie, sou ons nie die Heilige Gees ontvang het nie. Dit wat in die Bybel staan sou vir ons ‘n deurmekaar, sinnelose gebrabbel gewees nie. Ons sou nie maklik die verskil tussen reg en verkeerd kon sien nie en baie meer die slegte gevolge van ons verkeerde keuses moes dra. Ons sou al ons besluite met ons beperkte menslike vermoëns moes maak en waarskynlik nooit God se krag en teenwoordigheid ervaar het nie. Dit sou dalk baie moeilik gewees het om selfs te glo dat God bestaan.

Dankie Vader dat Jesus wel gesterf het, sodat sy bloed my 100% skoon kan was! Dankie dat ek lewe in ‘n buitengewone mate kan ervaar in plaas van dood, nie omdat ek dit verdien of een of ander ritueel gevolg het nie, maar omdat ek gekies het om te glo.

Many of you at some or other stage had seen the Crossing Borders banner which had hung right next to The True Vine Ministries banner – and might be wondering why it was taken down. Crossing Borders has a NEW MISSION AND A BIGGER VISION! Crossing Borders now acts as an umbrella under which all the outreach groups in the church will fall, enabling a network system to come into play whereby we (the church family) will get to know each group, what they stand for (outreach calling) and how we can get involved whether it be physically, financially or spiritually!

OUTREACH GROUPSLig & Lewe Center currently has 4 active outreach groups which are being operated by the individuals themselves; Meaning they organise their own outreaches and take authority over those in their group.

BRING A BLANKETLig & Lewe Center has dedicated the month of May to bringing a blanket or a warm item of clothing to church – new or second hand. Every individual is asked to please put their item in a plastic bag and give it to tannie Denmarié at the office in the church foyer. These warm items will then be given out during an outreach where everyone is welcome to join. Dates and details will be given at a later stage.

pronkend op ‘n koppie, geblokte foto, gedrukte T-hemp of sitkamerkussing. Die vrou wat almal aan die gons gehad het .

Haar oë het ‘n storie vertel voor die kamera, haar voorkoms: die blonde hare en die rooi lippe het bo almal uitgestaan en haar fladderende wit rok is onlangs opgeveil vir die duurste filmkostuum ooit. Die wêreld sou redeneer sy het alles gehad: mans het haar begeer, vroue wou in haar vel wees en beroemdheid het van haar as aktrise in die 20ste eeu ‘n kultuur-ikoon gemaak.

Min weet ons van die ander kant: Norma Jean ... die bruinkop weeskind wat moes rondtrek van weeshuis tot familielid vir heenkome. Sy het orals by ander aanvaarding gesoek. Sy het in haar laaste jare ongelukkig rondgedobber tussen siekwees, mislukte verhoudings en ‘n depressiewe gemoed ... en is op ‘n jeudige ouderdom van 36 oorlede. Of die oordosis wat haar lewe geneem het, ‘n poging tot selfmoord of moontlik moord was weet ons nie, maar dat sy ongelukkig was, was verseker. Ek het onlangs voor die Sjinese teater in Hollywood gestaan en my hand in haar hand-afdruk geplaas. Tot my verbasing pas my hand presies in hare in ... nie 5mm te breed, te kort of te lank nie. Presies soos ‘n verlore legkaart stukkie. My hand is so groot soos Marylin s’n. En 59 jaar gelede het sy haar afdruk daar gemaak met die fliektitel: Gentlemen prefer blondes.

Ons ken haar gesig, maar het iemand ooit na haar siel uitgereik. Sy was beroemd, bekorend en bewus van haar invloed op ander. Tog kon niks die leemte in haar vul na al die sukses nie. En met my hand in hare, gaan my hart uit na haar.

Nog nie eers terug van Hollywood in Suid-Afrika nie en Whitney Houston se dood raak skok almal. Haar dwelmverslawing ... ’n salf vir haar eensaamheid laat haar leweloos agter in haar hotelkamer. So baie mense, so baie toekennings en vererings, maar niks wat haar blywend gelukkig maak nie.

Ons word steeds daagliks ingetrek en betower met die glitz en glam van Hollywood, die skinderstories, die pragrokke, die jong velle, mooi lywe, duursame leefstyl en die kunstenaarswêreld. Maar as ons hierdie wêreld se verganklikheid verlaat kan die koppie met jou gesig op of die handdruk verewig in die verganklike sement, nie jou paspoort wees tot die hemelpoorte nie. Dan kom beroemdheid, geld en prag tot niks. Dit verteer in die oorgang na die ewige.

Almal wil bo uitkom, maar niemand wil met die bereiking van hulle drome eensaam sterf in ‘n hotelkamer sonder ‘n tuiste in die nou of hiernamaals nie.

Jou handdruk is uniek – graveer dit in die goue paadjies van die hemel. Daarin lê betekenis, volmaaktheid en egte glam.

A nun was sitting at the airport waiting for her flight toChicago. She looked over & saw one of those weight machines that tells your fortune.

Deciding to give it a try, she went to the machine, steppedon the scale and put her nickel in. Out came a card saying, "You are a nun, you weigh 128 Lbs and you're going to Chicago".

The nun sat back down & told herself the machine probablygives the same reading to Everyone. The more she thought about it, the more curious she was, so she decided to try it again.

She went back to the machine and put another nickel in. Out came a card, "You are a nun, you weigh 128 lbs, you are going to Chicago and you're going to play a fiddle.

The nun said to herself, I know this is wrong. I've neverplayed a musical instrument In my life. She went back to her seat. Then, a cowboy came and sat down, puttinghis fiddle on the seat between them.

Without thinking, she opened the case, took out the fiddle and started playing. Surprised at what she'd done, she looked at the machine and decided to try again.

She went back and put in another nickel. The card said "You are a nun, you weigh 128 lbs, you are going to Chicago & you're going to break wind."

Now, she knew the machine was wrong. She'd never broken wind in public in her life. But getting off the scale, she slipped and straining to keep from falling, she broke wind.

Stunned, she sat down and looked at the machine, thinking I have to try this again. She went back to the machine and dropped in another nickel.

Another Card came out. It read, "You are a nun, you weigh 128 lbs, you've fiddled & farted around & missedyour flight to Chicago

aan te pas om te pas. Die nuwe kenteken is vereenvoudig,kan op meer plekke aangewend word, is maklik herkenbaar,lyk stylvol en meer professioneel. Hierdie een inkorporeer

ook subtiel die kruis wat vroeer nie deel uit gemaak het vandie kenteken nie. Ons glo dat 2012 die begin van groot

en suksesvolle dinge is, selfs al begin ons by ‘n kenteken.
