PERFORM on the biggest stages:

Learning at a performance-based school, Lamont students perform early and often during their time at DU. Through the varied performing opportunities incorporated into the Lamont education, including student recitals and two fully staged opera theatre productions each year, students build a robust skillset and the ability to perform in different settings. In addition to our award-winning large ensembles, such as the Lamont Chorale and Lamont Symphony Orchestra, the Lamont School of Music hosts a com-petitive and comprehensive chamber music program that challenges and enhances our students’ musical skills and abilities. All told, Lamont students perform more than 300 concerts annually.

From your first days at Lamont, you will study with our highly talented faculty members. In addition to their many achievements, our faculty is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of musical leaders. Because we have no more than 300 students in a given year, students enjoy a wealth of time working with private instructors.
