The use of hydrogen gas as a source for power generation, commercial and industrial heating, and propulsion is growing rapidly. Containment and delivery of gaseous hydrogen for these applications can be very challenging. Gaseous hydrogen can readily diffuse into/through metals and polymers causing degradation. At Fuel Cell Systems Ltd we design, source and integrate bespoke fuel cell solutions for customers. HyTruck, our mobile refuelling vehicle, is in constant use for a variety of projects, providing refuelling for hydrogen vehicles across the UK and Europe. We are currently working with ZeroAvia and EMEC to provide a hydrogen refuelling service for the HyFlyer project, testing a zero-emission, hydrogen fuelled aircraft in the UK. We have also provided the refuelling for Hydroflex, a fuel cell powered passenger train being trialled at the University of Birmingham.

The Mini Hydrogen Dispenser from Fuel Cell Systems Ltd - a “jerry can” for hydrogen vehicles, is in use by the AA, in their prototype alternative fuels vehicle. It provides enough hydrogen fuel for an extra 30-50 miles and enables a stranded vehicle to reach the nearest static fuel station.
