2. Who is Harriet?

She was a runaway slave from Maryland

She is known as the Moses of her people

She lead hundreds of slaves to freedom

She found the underground railroad

Later she came a spy for the Civil War

She also became a nurse

3. More about Harriet

Her name at birth was Araminta Ross

She was one of 11 kids

Harriet helped over 300 slaves become free between 1850-1858 all through the underground railroad

She moved to Pennsylvania and joined the abolitionist cause. They worked to end slavery.

Soon she became a conductor on the Underground Railroad that helped free slaves

That is how she found the Underground Railroad and lead to many slaves to freedom
