Internationally, the Haba Waba Festival is the most visible and important competitive water event for children ages 6-12.

Last summer, 1,380 children hailing from five continents played 429 games over six days in the Haba Waba Tournament in Europe. We are extremely proud to be bringing this world class youth event to North America for the first time.

The goals and mandate of Haba Waba are: fun, friendly competition, respect, team and friendship building, love of water and a great family experience, all in a mini Olympics style Festival environment.

Location and date: Haba Waba North America will be held at the world class facilities,

Parc Jean Drapeau, Montreal, July 9-12, 2015. International Water Polo legends and Olympic Champions will be on hand to talk with and meet the children, coaches and sponsors.

Intentionally timed around Montreal’s International Jazz Festival, Montreal’s Just for Laugh’s Festival and the International Fireworks Competition (not to mention the Cirque du Soleil), drawing more family and friends from across North America to attend and celebrate this world class event.

Attendance of up to 40 teams from the USA and Canada, in 12U and 10U categories, plus families, friends, officials and volunteers are expected. We already have teams and athletes from the United States and Ontario registered.

Haba Waba in ShortHaba Waba is a highly unusual name, but it’s the perfect name for this Festival! It captures the essence of this Festival. Haba Waba is derived from the union of the first two syllables of the phrase “Happy Baby Water Ball” to represent the joy of a child while playing with a ball in the water. This event was conceived and organized by Waterpolo Development, a not-for-profit organization, in Europe, and first held in 2008.

Last summer, 1,380 children from five continents played 429 games over six days in the Haba Waba Tournament in Europe.

We believe that it is the most important competitive water event dedicated to 6–12 year-old children in the world. This tournament attracts both children who are not quite water safe and those who have mastered swimming. This makes for an extremely inclusive and important event. It also involves and includes coaches, managers, fans and families from various countries coming together to share in this Festival and this experience.

Haba Waba has spread all over the five continents and is highly recognized and regarded by national and international federations including being recognized and sanctioned by FINA, LEN and other continental and national organizations.

While other children’s tournaments may be inclusive, Haba Waba takes this to the next level by offering international competition along with lots of fun and continuous entertainment, both in and out of the pool, throughout the entire tournament. This creates a fun atmosphere and lots of opportunities for friendship building at the facility throughout the day and night.

There are also mascots, prizes and trophies, and the opportunity for young athletes to meet and spend time with their water polo idols, Olympic champions and role models.

The enthusiasm and interest arising from a joyful global event promotes and plants the seeds of safe water play more than any other effort.

Sponsonship OpportunityWe need your help in making this incredible world class youth event a success in North America! We expect hundreds of people at this event including approximately 40 teams from across North America, together with their families and friends.

The advertising channels with which we work to promote this event and the sponsors include electronic and

video communication channels, and have an audience of approximately 75,000 across Canada, the United States and Internationally. That is a significant target audience, both local and international, to showcase and promote your company’s name and products.

Because of the nature of the event, there are a number of specific and dedicated avenues to target your business’s sponsorship and more importantly to advertise your business. We have provided a few sponsorship opportunities and sponsorship levels below, but we are limited only by our imaginations.

Sponsorship LevelsPlatinum Sponsors$15,000 or more (All 6 items from A-E above)In addition to a Platinum Sponsor obtaining those sponsorship opportunities which the Platinum Sponsor has selected from 1-9 on the next page (for example, up to 5 choices from 1-9 for $15,000, 6 choices from 1-9 for $18,000, etc.), the Platinum Sponsor will receive ALL of the Sponsor Advertisement and Promotion opportunities set forth in A-E above.

Gold Sponsor $9,000

(3 items from A-E above)In addition to a Gold Sponsor obtaining those sponsorship opportunities which the Gold Sponsor has selected from 1-9 on the next page (up to 3 choices from 1-9 for $9,000, for example), the Gold Sponsor will receive its choice of 3 advertising opportunities from the Sponsor Advertisement and Promotion opportunities set out from A, C, D and E above (Video Clip set out in B is excluded from the choice).

Silver Sponsor - $3,000 (1 item from A-E above)In addition to a Silver Sponsor obtaining those sponsorship opportunities which the Silver Sponsor has selected from 1-9 on the next page (up to 1 choice from 1-9 for $3,000, for example), the Silver Sponsor will receive its choice of 1 of the advertising opportunities from Sponsor Advertisement and Promotion opportunities set out from A, D and E above (Video Clip set out in B and the Social Media Advertisement in C are excluded from the choice).

A. Giant Game Clock. The Sponsor’s name and logo would be displayed on the giant game clock in the facility (in black and white colours). The Sponsor’s name and logo would rotate with other eligible Sponsors during the event.

B. Video Clip. Creation of a 10-15 second video commercial about Haba Waba including the Sponsor’s name, logo and video of representative from the Sponsor. This would be distributed over the Internet after the event, via YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and electronic communications. This video clip can also be used for the Sponsor’s own advertising purposes, as long as such advertising is consistent with Haba Waba brand policy. This video clip option is available to only those sponsors who provide sponsorship of $15,000 or greater.

C. Social Media and Electronic Communication Advertisement.

Approximately 75,000 recipients. Sponsor’s name advertised on social media communication, including Facebook, Twitter and other forms of social media and electronic communication with our social media partners around the world. Sponsors qualifying in this category would be advertised as a Sponsor or Partner to the Haba Waba North America Festival.

D. Teardrop Banner on site with Sponsor’s logo on it.

E. Roll Up Banner where each participant will take a photo.

What Sponsors Will ReceiveSponsor Advertisement and Promotion Opportunities:In addition to the sponsorship opportunities as set forth in 1-9 on the next page, sponsors would also receive (depending on the level of sponsorship set for below) the following Sponsor Advertisement and Promotion Opportunities:

Regardless of Sponsorship Level, every sponsor shall have its name and logo advertised in the Haba Waba North America Event Brochures, Schedules and Printed Materials. Brochures, Schedules and other printed materials will be prepared for and distributed to hundreds of the Haba Waba North America event attendees including athletes, families, international delegates, officials, volunteers and fans of the event.

Items to be Sponsored (Targeted Opportunities):Each of the following are CDN $3000 to sponsor: 1. Opening Ceremonies

All athletes, teams, families, friends, officials and dignitaries will be invited. Sponsor will be prominently advertised as the Sponsor for the Opening Ceremonies and will help welcome athletes and teams and open the International Festival. Photographs will be taken of the Opening Ceremonies with the Sponsor, and these photographs will be distributed through advertising channels.

2. Closing Ceremonies

All athletes, teams, families, friends, officials and dignitaries will be invited.Sponsor will be prominently advertised as Sponsor of the Closing Ceremonies, and will hand out an award and will help recap and close the Festival Photographs will be taken of the Closing Ceremonies with the Sponsor and these photographs will be distributed through advertising channels.

3. Trophies/Medals

Each athlete will be provided a medal celebrating their play in this international festival.In addition, there will be trophies awarded to each team as well as to winners of special awards, such as best sportsmanship as well as winners of each division. The Sponsor’s name will be associated with sponsoring these medals and trophies. In addition, there will also be very large trophies showing the winners of each category, year after year (like the Stanley Cup) The Sponsor’s name will be displayed on these large trophies.

4. Welcome reception/official dinner

All dignitaries travelling to the event, together with representatives from each team, representatives from Water Polo Quebec and Global Wave, Haba Waba North America Ambassadors, will be attending this dinner.Sponsor will be prominently advertised as the sponsor of the Welcome Reception/Official Dinner and will say a few words to the attendees of the dinner.

5. Competition Divisions The tournament within the Haba Waba Festival will be divided into different divisions based on age and skill level. The division will be called by the Sponsor’s name and referred to as such in printed materials and scheduling. As well, the Sponsor will be able to have photos taken with the teams in their divisions.

6. MascotOne of the most fun elements of this Festival are the Mascots. They are the fun face of the international festival and are around for the entire festival. They engage and play with the athletes and the families, spectators, and teams. They also end up being in photos with most of the kids and families and will be displayed and promoted over the Internet during and after the event. Each Mascot would have a Sponsor, and the Sponsor’s name would be associated with that Mascot.

7. Life of the Party Sponsor

Sponsor the On-Site Fun.These Sponsors would support the on-site entertainment that makes the atmosphere fun. The entertainment would take place throughout the entire tournament and would include

entertainment such as DJ, music, karaoke area, tattoos (temporary), juggling, face painting, as well as other entertainment options. There can be a few or a number of items available for sponsorship in this area (depending on the costs for each item) and each Life of the Party Sponsor would only be responsible for up to $3000 in such entertainment (or up to whatever greater amount the Sponsor is comfortable with). In this area, we are limited only by our imagination and sense of fun!

8. TransportationOne of the greatest logistics of this event is transporting the teams, officials, volunteers and dignitaries to and from the airport and to and from the event over the 4 days via bus and car rentals. The Sponsor’s name and logo would be advertised as helping with the transportation. In addition, to the extent possible, Sponsor’s name and logo would be displayed in the transportation vehicles during the rides to and from the airport and to and from the events over the 4 days.

9. Generous Sponsor You want to support this great event, but you have another idea of what you want to sponsor, or you’re not fussed whether your sponsorship is directed to something specific? There are a lot of expenses we need help offsetting and your sponsorships or assistance with those would be very appreciated! Imagination is our only limit. Expenses such as: transporting the teams from the airport to the hotel by bus, feeding the athletes and volunteers over the four days at the event, printing costs for the participant’s certificates and large Event Books that every participant will be provided with, pool rental for this exceptional venue are just a few examples of expenses we need to offset. Each Sponsor in this category will be advertised as a Sponsor to this wonderful event.

These are our initial guidelines. We are happy to entertain other ideas and we are limited only by our imagination.

We would love to advertise our sponsors as much as possible. If the Sponsor has its own banners, posters or stand up advertising, we will happily display as many of those as reasonably possible at the event. If a Sponsor does not have its own banners or posters, for an amount just to offset the printing costs, we are happy to arrange to have banners and/or posters printed out with Sponsor’s name and logo.
