♥ GentleMothering/CuidadosMaternales:Amulticultural,family-careandeducationalservicesnonprofitthatrunsprogramsspecificallydesignedtoserveHispanicwomen.Fundswillbeusedtohostabirthdoulatraining,whichwillsupportSpanish-speakingwomeninfindingacareerforwhichtheyhaveapassionwhilealsosupportingunderservedpregnantwomenintheareawholackaccesstoaSpanish-speakingdoula.

GreenOpportunities:Offersspecialized,technicaltrainingforindividualslivinginlow-wealthneighborhoodsaswellascasemanagementsupporttoremoveexistingbarrierstoemploymentandprovidingaccesstosustainableemploymentopportunities.Fundswillbeusedtosupportprofessionaltraininganddevelopment.

GuatemalaMission:CovenantpartnershipbetweenGCPCandIglesiaJerusalemPresbyterianChurchinCoatepeque,Guatemalabegunin1994.Grantfundsprovide35scholarshipstostudentswhoattendschoolsintheCoatepequearea.

HabitatforHumanity:Workstobuildhomeswithfamilies,volunteersandcommunitymembers,andtoenvisionaworldwhereeveryonehasadecentplacetolive.Fundswillsupportthe26thPresbyterian/MethodistHomeBuild.

Hands&Feet:Year-longprogressive,ecumenicalChristianserviceprogramforyoungadultstopursuetheirpassions,serveothers,liveinintentionalcommunityandexplorefaith.Fundswillsupporthousingandstipendcosts.

HaywoodStreetCongregation:AtransformativeopencommunityofChrist,ledbytheHolySpirit,creatingopportunitiestoserveandbeservedsothateachpersonisempoweredtoclaimtheiridentityasachildofGod.FundswillsupporttheCompanionMinistry.

HealingArtMissions:SupportsthepeopleofHaitiintheareasofhealth,nutrition,education,housingandsocialjustice.FundswillsupportpayinglivingwagestoHaitianstaff.

♥ HeartofHorseSense:Providesfreetherapeutichorsemanship,includingequine-assistedpsychotherapyandlearning,forveterans,theirfamilies,andat-riskyouth.FundswillprovideintensiveequinetherapyretreatsforveteranssufferingfromMilitarySexualTraumaandLGBTQveterans.

HomewardBoundA-HopeDayCenter:Awelcoming,safeplacewhereindividualsandfamiliesexperiencinghomelessnesscometoreceivebasicneedsservicesandtoengageinthelocalCoordinateAssessmentSysteminordertoendtheirhomelessnesswithhousing.Fundswillsupportoperations.

HomewardBoundRoomInTheInn(RITI):Inpartnershipwith60faithcommunities,providesshelterto12womenwho(foravarietyofreasons)cannotstayatashelterbyhostingthemforaweekatatimeonarotatingbasisandprovidingalloftheirmeals,shelter,andeveningactivities.GrantsfundssupporthostingRITIatGraceCovenant.♥ HoodHuggers:OffersstrategiesforbuildingsupportpillarsforhistoricallyAfricanAmericanneighborhoods,providingaframeworkforcommunitycapacity-buildingwhileincreasingtheeffectivenessofexistingserviceprograms.FundssupportSTRIDEandBurtonStreetCommunityGardens.

PartnershipforPastoralCounseling:OffersaffordablepastoralcounselingtopeopleinWesternNorthCarolinatoempowerhealingandgrowth.Grantfundscoverthecostofcounselingsessions.

ReadtoSucceedAsheville:Workswithpublicschoolstonarrowtheachievementgapbetweenmiddle-classstudentsandthosefromlow-income/low-literacyhomes.Fundswillbeusedtoincreasetrainingcapacity.

♥ Residents’CouncilofAshevilleHousingAuthority:Ledbycommitted,dedicatedandengagedmembersofthepublichousingcommunity,servesastheprimaryvehicleforhelpingresidentsimprovetheireconomic,educational,social,employmentandentrepreneurialstatusasameansofmovingoutofpoverty.FundswillsupportcapacitybuildingandtrainingofleadersintheResidents’Council.

VeteransRestorationQuarters/ABCCM:Cooksandservesresidentsameal;anaverageof200veteransisserved.VolunteersjointheVRQresidentsattheirtable,eatingandtalkingtogether.

♥ WesternNorthCarolinaSanctuaryMovement:FostersanintersectionalcultureofsanctuarythatoffersmutualsafetyandsupportforallaffectedpeoplefromtheLatinx,AfricanAmerican,Muslim,andLGBTQcommunities,andothersexperiencingpovertyand/oroppression.Fundswillprovidelegalsupportforfamiliesaffectedbythecurrentbrokenimmigrationsystem;meetthebasicneedsfamilymemberswhentheprimaryearnerisdetainedorotherwiseaffectedbytheimmigrationsystem;supporttransportationexpensestovisitdetainedfamilymembers;andchildcareandinterpretationservicestosupporttheeffortsofallsixprogramareas.
