Hundreds of people passed through our gates on a warm and sunny day. Our school was glistening and gleaming and the excitement and energy from our volunteers, stall holders, staff and visitors was electric! I must thank all of the EVPS community for supporting our school and our P&C at the fete. It was lovely to talk to past and present students, teachers, parents, friends and even school captains from as far back as 1981! Special thanks must go to the staff, who came in to lend a helping hand, lead their CAPA group, cook a barbecue, set up, pack up or do anything asked of them to help out. We are so fortunate to have such a caring, committed and professional staff at EVPS. Thank you. Our students, who performed on the day, were at their spectacular best and were incredible ambassadors for our school. Thank you EVPS, you were shining on Saturday! Of course, this fete would not have been possible without the tireless work of the P&C Fete Sub-Committee. These fabulous volunteers having been working behind the scenes to ensure that our fete was a huge success. Many of our staff and parent volunteers were at the school before 6am until well after 7pm to set up for the day and pack away after the event. We were even blessed with a torrential storm as we were about to leave. I cannot begin to express my graditude, on behalf of the school, to this dedicated group. Your hard work certainly did pay off. Thank you! On Tuesday morning our band performed at the Band Fest competition. I am thrilled to report that they received a commendation for their outstanding performance. Many thanks to Mrs Robertson for all of her work with our school band. Thanks also to all of our students who practise their instruments and work so hard with our band. On Tuesday evening, we had our annual Creative and Performing Arts night. Wow! What an event! The talent of our students was inspiring. We had our band, choir, TOM team, dance troupe, Aboriginal dance group and boys hip hop group all performing. We also had a special performance by the rock band, who has been working with the Music Bus. There were many opportunities for our band students to showcase their talents through solos, duets and trios. Thank you to our students for your commitment to creative and performing arts. You were just brilliant. Many thanks, once again, to the staff who lead these groups. You are all so very talented. We are lucky to have you as part of our team. Thank you to our P&C CAPA Sub-Committee for helping to organise this event. HELLO EVPS!

profile page at: www.myprofilepage.com.au

Parents / Carers / Siblings You are invited to have lunch with your children from 1.20pm

& you can join in the Run 4 Fun Colour Explosion too for just $5!

The main thing we want to see on the day is our children running around the school, having FUN with their friends, & getting COLOURFUL!

EVPS Run 4 Fun Colour Explosion – Non-Consent Form All measures have been taken to ensure that this event is safe for all students. There will be various colour powder stations throughout the course with two designated lanes – one for colour powder, the other with no powder. Your child can still participate in the event should you not wish for them to be sprayed with colour powder. The volunteers will do their best to throw the powder at the torso, however wind and other factors can cause the powder to protrude on the face. You may wish for your child to bring their own eye protection such as sunglasses or googles. The colour powder used in the event is non-toxic, biodegradable and environmentally friendly consisting of 98% corn starch and 2% food colouring. It will likely washout of your child’s clothing, however we recommend that your child wears a white shirt that you don’t mind being coloured. That’s what the event is all about! Based on the toxicology profiles of the powders used, their concentrations in the formulation and the mode of use of the products poses a low level of toxicology risk. The product is considered safe for use.

I do not wish for my child stated below to participate in the EVPS Run 4 Fun Colour Explosion.
