Plan: to continue our advancement and dedication to student community service
Commitment: to attend Fall Leadership Conference with entire team
Help Desk for Help
Provided resources for student body to read and discover service learning opportunities in the local area
Spoke individually to students about volunteer positions to fulfill their needs and interests
Supported other service-oriented student groups with their endeavors
Our Deserving Winners
So far this year, we have awarded 3 volunteers that truly represent our school and the Jefferson Awards Program. Later in the year, our program will award 3 more students within the school.
Raising Funds through Raising Awareness
Parents and teachers support through the PTO and suggestions for award recipients
The USA ONE Fund contributed a one time donation which we use to award our recipients
Last year, our students volunteered over 27,961 recorded hours. That is $202,717.25 worth of commitment and effort from our amazing high school community.
Spreading the Word
School marquee, website, announcements, video, newsletter, school magazine
One story to community papers, one press release about the latest winner
Our volunteers and winners were recognized through these media outlets
Reaching Out
Through research we found a school with the ideal mentality to accept the Students in Action initiative within their school
Contacted the school, set up a meeting, presented with 3 members and faculty coordinator, and helped them get in contact with Ms. Fidance
The school was excited and inspired to join this national initiative
Movin’ on Up!
Expand within our school community and branch out to other schools One winner each month Recruit another school Branch out to the local community Conduct a service project
Edgewood’s Students In Action Team Thanks You
