Students In Action is a national youth volunteer leadership, recognition and reward program, designed to pass the tradition of service on to the next generation. Co-developed by Jefferson Awards for Public Service and Deloitte, it is now in over 250 High Schools.Each spring, Student Leaders from the participating schools compete in regional competitions. They are asked to report on the implementation of the program, and the impact they've had, both in their schools and within their communities.

Welcome to Padua!The goal of Padua Academy is to educate young women in the spirit of love of neighbor flowing from the love of God interspersed with sisterhood. We strive to help students realize the value of service to others and to recognize their responsibility for global stewardship.

Learning Through Service & Tracking Hours

•427 students total

•Every student participates in regular service activities; supported and encouraged by our team.

•Students report periodically to the SIA committee the # of hours of service, and they are recorded by a team member.

•Service hours are documented on service cards, signed by a supervisor of the service organization.

•7,171 total hours of community service

Improving the Program

Improvements:

Plan for Next Year:

•Tripled amount of winners (from 3 to 9)

•Completed 5 more goals compared to last year’s 2.

•Setting aside daily timedevoted to the program

•Along with our original tracking system, using the UGive website for tracking service hours as well.
