Christianpalooza has grown into a huge community party involving schools, churches, businesses, athletic associations, community leaders, and residents—raising more than $20,000 for Make-A-Wish and granting wishes for five children. It is one of the largest fundraisers to support Make-A-Wish of Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

In addition to coordinating Christianpalooza, Jamie was a coach last year for the Highmark Running 101 program, training employees to participate in their first 5k race, and has coached for the Brookline Youth Soccer Association for seven years.

As overall winner of Highmark's Jefferson Award, Janie will receive a $2,500 contribution to donate to the organization of her choice and will represent Highmark at the National Jefferson Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C. in June.

Janie Lopez has enhanced the lives of youth, business professionals, senior citizens and more.

As founder, president, and CEO of Youth Engaging in Leadership and Learning (YELL), Janie has changed the lives of youth since the program's start in March 2009. Students who attend the summit learn about what they need to be workforce ready upon graduation and discuss issues that daily affect them and their future success. The students attend a Future Fair, highlighting companies, colleges, camps and various organizations that serve youth. Last year, more than 800 people attended the annual youth summit, and this year Janie is targeting 3,000 attendees!

She is also a partner in Reach Out Actively Recruit (ROAR), an organization providing human resource assistance to individuals who are looking for new career opportunities. The organization focuses on networking, building relationships and industry updates at its meetings. She voluntarily provides assistance with résumé writing, networking and interviewing.

Michael NovitskiRetail Store Associate, Highmark Inc., North Fayette, Pa.

Michael Novitski strives to create a world without stigma. Through his volunteer efforts with Children's Hospital Advisory Network Guidance and Empowerment—CHANGE—and the Pennsylvania Youth Leadership Network, he focuses on empowering youth with disabilities.

As a CHANGE volunteer, he works to improve the transition into adulthood for disabled youth, concentrating on social skills while teaching them advocacy, leadership, empowerment and acceptance.

Through the leadership network, Michael has mentored youth with disabilities and helped them find resources and accommodations.

His contributions have led to statewide changes for disabled youth, and the two organizations have noticeably increased the youths' GPAs and their confidence.

Michael also helped to develop a health care toolkit now used in more than 50 pediatrician's offices and a transition toolkit for school counselors and families across the state.

He hopes that youth with disabilities will not face social barriers and will be able to lead successful lives.

Justin's Team in Training event total is almost 600 miles, and he has raised more than $20,000.

For the past three years, Justin has organized volunteer teams to visit and support cancer patients at Allegheny Health Network's West Penn Hospital, many of whom spend months in isolation. Justin also spoke last year to the students of a middle school with a sixth-grade leukemia patient. He told the child's classmates what it's like to be a pediatric cancer patient and how much the support of his class had meant to him.
