Hello Fellow Moose Members, “The value of an idea lies in the use of it" Thomas Edison To begin, I’ve enjoyed the first month of being your new Governor and hearing many new ideas. Thanks to all our great volunteers that make the gears of our lodge turn. With the coming of the summer months our participation in our monthly activities is a bit leaner; which may inspire some slight changes to keep our traditional events on the calendar and profitable. Gail, our new entertainment chairman, has just started to get her feet wet and is ready to take on the big challenge of providing great entertainment while helping us keep an eye on the bottom line. A quick reminder that we are reinstituting our Membership Campaign. It showed great promise before and with the coming year I’m sure will be even more successful. $10 dollar Moose bucks per 1 Moose Sponsor – how can you beat that!? The
faithful members below have earned $10.00 in moose bucks to be used at the social quarters thank you for growing our lodge membership!! Ask the bartender for your moose bucks on your next visit. David Hall, James Brennan, Dennis "shine box" Dolan, John Chastain, Pam Stamm, Lawrence Pugh ,Hilda Veltri, Olga Edwards, Gary Davis, Renae Bencivenga, Tom Martin, L Clausen. And of course for every membership that you sponsor your name will be entered into the $100 drawing. So sponsor 6 people and your name will be entered 6 times. Lastly, the top membership sponsor automatically wins $100. So in closing, keep the ideas rolling in and come to some meetings to help vote them in!

Christian Banta Governor

The first month with our newly installed officers has been a good one and an indication of what's to come. Several suggestions have been made that will be very beneficial to the lodge when initiated. There was a rumor (already) that the Governor had made an announcement that the Chicken Fry would be abolished, NOT TRUE. He did say that the board was considering a revision of the existing Fry, but only in an attempt to make it better. While on the subject of cooking, our Mothers Day meal was second to none. The outstanding job done by JOEE MICCICHE our Kitchen Mgr/Exec Chef was commended by all who enjoyed the great foods. There was a variety ranging from the best of traditional breakfast items to outstanding homemade specialty breads. It was a super breakfast for the Mom's on their special day. In addition to revising the Chicken Fry (Not extreme Revision) the decision was made to cut the HAPPY HOUR from 1:00 to 4:00 to 2:00 to 4:00 beginning June 1, 2016. Also our CHICKEN FRY will go from $8.00 to $9:00 with the end of the Fry boxes (if there is chicken left (over) going from $3.00 to $4.00. Don't forget the service given by our volunteers throughout the lodge, lets not take them for granted. For example, the high profile bartenders, there to answer any and all questions the customers have along with selling tickets, drinks, taking orders for food and many other things as well. Take care of them with tips and consideration for their position in the lodge. They are: (HEAD HONCHO)-CHRIS MYRICK,RENAE BENCIVENGA,WADE MYRICK,JOEE MICCICHE,GAIL BRENNAN,CARRIE WAM AND MICHELE MORELLI. Remember all of these things are done with YOU,THE LODGE MEMBER in mind so that we can continue as we have in the past with a carefree attitude and all of the Moose traditions in place. Keep up the good work with all of the volunteer help you have been giving.
Fraternally,
Bill Hopkins, Administrator
