GOVERNOR'S MESSAGE
Each month I try to form my message based on the things impacting our lodge. Things like the lodge received the coveted Premier Lodge award from Moose International or maybe like how a young lady from Mooseheart could so deeply touch the hearts of my friends and fellow mem-bers. I guess I would have to say that what stands out the most is how the Women of the Moose defined the mean-ing of community service by using their Christmas in July event to help the Lake Padgett sinkhole victims. The out-pouring of support from those in attendance that day was one of the most unselfish generous things I have seen in quite a while. What great hearts you folks have. God will surely bless this Lodge for such acts of kindness.
Brother Walter Wommack what a great job you're doing with the newsletter. Folks if you want to get anything out there to the masses Walt is your man. Get it to him early though as he is already dogging me for this Governor's message. Just kidding!!
As always check your calendar for upcoming events, stay informed by attending meetings, and be Moose Proud.
God Bless Mooseheart
Fraternally
Eddie
In the primeval wilds of the northland, two noble Moose, leaders of their herds, met in deadly combat. Today, their locked antlers, a silent reminder of the futility of antagonism and conflict, lie bleaching on the plains.
We meet tonight as Brothers united in a common cause. Let the spirit of harmony and fraternal regard guide our deliberations. Otherwise, we will be blinded to the lesson of the “Locked Horns.”
Brothers, we welcome you and remind you as a mem-ber, you are expected to abide by the Constitution and General Laws of the Order and the by-laws of our lodge. You should always be mindful of your obligation of membership: to assist in building the membership strength of the fraternity by sponsoring worthy friends, relatives and associates; and to provide finan-cial support for our youngsters at Mooseheart and our seniors at Moosehaven through your donations to Moose Charities.
LEGEND OF THE LOCKED HORNS

MESSAGE FROM THE SENIOR REGENT
First, I would like to thank Bill Hall and the WOTM who helped with the Duck and Horse racing. What a great turn-out!
A big shout out for Dawn Riedinger for a great meal that she cooked for the Land O Lakes District Meeting on July 9, 2017.
Words cannot express what my heart is feeling from the function “Christmas in July”! What a great job “Dawn Riedinger”! Her charity was “Lake Padgett Sinkhole Fund”. The Women of the Moose raised $1200.00! We had a Chi-nese auction, 50/50, basket, and a big thanks to the mem-bers who donated there presents back for a great fund-raiser by our auctioneer, Wayne Fulton (You Are The Man), that helped us raise more money for our charity. Tom Costello, thank you for donating your funds back to the WOTM.
Our next function is August 12, 2017 at 5pm; the theme is “Red Solo Cup”. Anita Hart-Paris is committee chair, she is having a Low Country Boil, various activities, and 50/50 to raise money for her Mooseheart and Moosehaven charity. There will be entertainment from 6-9!
August 25, 2017, the WOTM will have a taco bar. Come out and support our Moose Lodge!
September 23, 2017, Betty Allen, will be doing bingo on a Saturday afternoon! More de-tails to follow.
Thank you Gibby Fletcher Senior Regent

have a triple bypass so lets all keep him in our
thoughts and prayers for a rapid recovery.
Attention All Moose Legionnaires
As you all know, this is the Degree of Service, That’s why we wish all Moose Legionnaires would attend our meetings. What better way to help build our Fra-ternity and have some fun as well. Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month @ 7 PM. If any members are interested in the 2nd step in our Fraternity please see our Moose Legion Chairman Tom Burnam, Moose Legion Secretary Wayne Fulton or any Moose Legionnaire for details on require-ments to take the next step in our Fraternity.
Our motto is: “To do some good thing for someone each day.”
Membership Retention
I know everyone hears this all the time but we need
to hear it again and again and again. If you know
one of the many members you have signed up has
not renewed their membership please contact them
and remind them of all the great things the Moose
does for not only our children at Mooseheart and
our seniors at Moosehaven but all the good things
we do outside the Fraternity for our communities
and we need their continuing support.
Our next Moose Legion Celebration will be Saturday
September 30 at the North Hillsborough Lodge 1741.
This is always fun and the North Hillsborough Lodge
is a great place to visit. If you have never been to a
Moose Legion Celebration you should come and join
in all the fun and celebrate our newest Legionnaires
for taking the next step in our Fraternity. The Cele-
bration starts at 1 PM but you would want to show
up early and visit with some of our brothers and sis-
ters from Lodges all around the
Moose Legion 125.

Land O Lakes WOTM Chapter 2322 is proud to announce our most recent College of Regent Anita Krofssik
And our newest Star Recorder Lynn Hall
Great Job Ladies, thank you for your
time spent and support of your Chapter
and Moose Lodge!
A Note from the Director General
We had a fantastic convention in Tampa, Flor-ida and if you missed it, I hope you take the time to read the reports online. So much good is happening at Mooseheart, Moose-haven and in our fraternal units in 2017 and is being planned for the years ahead. The name and brand identity of our New Moose Experi-ence was unveiled – Lodgic Everyday Commu-nity. The first location will be in Champaign, Illinois. Time was spent discussing how we as Moose should be the friendliest place in town and my year visiting Lodges throughout our fraternity in an “undercover boss” role. Some Lodges are doing an excellent job on creating a warm, welcoming environment for mem-bers and guests; others have plenty of room for improvement. I will continue to make un-announced visits to Lodges and hope to be welcomed with firm handshakes and plenty of smiles. See you soon! If you have a concern or idea you’d like to share with me, use our online form: “Tell the Director General

The WOTM Christmas in July event was a smashing suc-
cess and lots of fun. We had a few kids attend and they all
went home with new gifts and a smile on their face. After
they drew tickets for the silent auction several of our won-
derful members donated the items back to be auctioned off
by our superb auctioneer Wayne Fulton whom he received
help from Anabella Cabrera age 5 by her announcing the
item was “SOLD”. Great job Anabella! The proceeds from
this event are going to help the families of the sink hole
tragedy in Land O Lakes. Very nice of the WOTM to think
about our neighbors in our community.
