With summer winding down, children going back to school, the start of football season, fall is upon us. Change is in the air! Happy birthday to our W.O.T.M. Chapter 1980. Thanks to Neil and the children's family bingo event, as well as all our members and co-workers who work to promote a fun bingo environment, especially Tom Martin, Leonard Ross and Tripp. Our food service continues to evolve with better food options and service to our members. Special thanks go out to Ray and Peg Bacchi. Outstanding supporters of our lodge who supply us with clean linens, table cloths and kitchen support supplies. Our monthly Chicken Fry was great due largely to the efforts of Gary Zaremba, Barb Hensler, Roy Krohn. Ray Bacchi and enhanced by the Karaoke of Mark Canada and the best singers in the District. Many thanks to Tyler Jones, Frank, Ron and Cole who keep bringing it strong. It only works if you work it! Looking forward to seeing you at the lodge.

MOOSE BOOSTER ’S
The AC's are maxing out through this hot weather and so is
Chris Banta trying to keep them going. Our AC's are past their life ex-
pectancy, but Banta has kept them alive with his expertise. In addition
to the technical By-the-Book repair he is now doing it with bailing wire,
duct tape and a lick and a promise. I can't say enough about this guy
who jumps on that blazing hot roof at a moments notice and somehow
pumps life into our worn out cooling system. Think for a moment
where we would be without it in this record breaking heat. When you
see Chris in the lodge take time to thank him for what he does without
charge except for the price of a part that might be needed. Although it is
very little to offer and I'm not sure, but I think he has an occasional
beer, we might buy him one when he comes off of that hot roof.
In addition to Banta and his contribution there are many others
within the lodge that make our lodge the best. All of those who made
the Chicken Fry one of the best to the WOTM Birthday Celebration and
all of the events in between.
The lodge is in good shape, blow off those rumors that we are
closing. I've heard it for years, it isn't true and it is not going to happen.
It begins and ends with other organizations in the area and those in their
bars with a snoot full of booze. You would think they would grow tired
of saying those things but they have nothing else to do. Pay no
attention.
Fraternally,
Bill Hopkins, Administrator

Bill Hopkins, Admin.
A brief note to say “Thanks” for all the support, our chapter received for this last month (August). Our “WOTM Birthday Party” pot luck dinner had a great turnout. A very big thank you to Bonnie Pierce and Caroline McGuire, who helped serve at the window, to Roger Dale for donating a turkey, and to each and all of you who brought in so many delicious covered dishes. A good time was had by all, and lets not forget Mark Canada for the great job running the karaoke that night. Don’t forget to mark your calendar for the 14th of September. Alice Hines & the Star Recorder Committee will be hosting our famous Soups, Stews, & Chowder
event starting at 4PM, look for fliers posted around the Lodge for more details. Special thanks to all who donated to our “Back to School” supplies campaign, donation are still needed for this cam-paign along with donations for Animal Shelters (any item cat or dog) and for the Homeless Disable Vets (food, clothing) anything is greatly appreciated. Hope to see you all at our meetings September 10th and the 24th at 6:30pm, and Social Quarters.

SHOOT*SHOOT*SHOOT*SHOOT
A great way to spend a couple of hours is at a Lodge shoot. We have then on Tuesday’s and Saturday’s enjoyed by a good group of your fellow members. For a $ 1.00 donation a game you get four (4) shots at steaks , Fish, Pork, Chicken or a mystery treat (raw, roasted or alive) usually eight (8) games but sometimes nine (9). It’s a simple game so most of our members learn it quickly. Come out! Win! Win! Win!
Boo the winners and laugh at the losers. It’s a FUN TIME.
So join us on Tuesday & Saturday’s at 1:30 PM.
The Moose Legion sponsored “Night in Italy” dinner on the last Friday of the month was another excellent event enjoyed by all present. We’re looking forward to a great turnout for the September “Firehouse Favorite Dinner” featuring home-made meatloaf with all the fixing's. Don’t miss this “Back To Basics” dinner—the best quality, quantity and price on the Space Coast. During the months of September and October the Moose Legion is embarking on a drive to increase membership and activity in our Committee. We will be inviting all eligible members of the Lodge to join the fraternity’s next degree—The Degree of Service. The Moose Legion is the core leadership of the Lodge and the stepping stone to the higher degrees of the Order. During the first week of this month (September) the Florida-Bermuda Moose Association will hold it’s Annual Convention in Orlando. At that time those members of our Lodge who have been selected, will be elevated to the Fellowship Degree at the FBMA Conferral Ceremony. Upon return home they will be welcomed and saluted at our September Dinner Guests of Honor.

God, our Father, Creator and Lord of the Universe,
You have set the earth on its foundation And all the elements of nature obey your command.
We humbly beseech you to keep us safe from all dangers and calm the storms that threaten us.
May we be secure in Your loving protection and serve You always with grateful hearts.
We ask this through our Lord, Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
