Welcome from all of us at Double T Simmentals. It is our pleasure to welcome you to our 6th annual bull and female sale. We are grateful for your interest in our breeding program.

Once again we have expanded at Double T Simmentals, on the family side. On Jan. 5, 2015, Michael and Jessie blessed us with another Grandchild, Bryce Michael Martin.

The 2015 sale offering is the stoutest, most powerful and most uniform set of bulls we have put together to date. We strive each year to enhance the overall genetics offering to our customers. There will be an option of genetics and opportunities for bulls, that offer power and growth, calving ease, or maternal and carcass traits. We try to offer as much information as possible to our customers, to help make your decisions easier and more informed. All the black bulls have been tested for color, along with a majority of them tested for polled. All the red bulls are diluter free. Either the bulls have been tested as free or their dams have been tested free. In addition, we have tested a select group bulls with the 50K Igenity profile. This will provide enhanced EPD’s that increase the accuracy. To further help in making the most informed decision possible.

Our philosophy is simple, “Profitability”. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is the bottom line. We strive to breed, raise and sell cattle that are profitable for ourselves and ultimately in the end your operation. API and TI are indexes that are expressed in dollars and cents values. Through mathe-matical calculations that not only consider the value of outputs (weaning weight or yearling weights) they calculate the cost of inputs (expenses from feed cost, mature cow size, milking ability and others). In the end, this gives a dollar evaluation of the individual’s value.

Auction: We will be conducting a video auction. The bulls will not go through the sale ring as in most sales. We will have all the lots on video. Videos of the bulls will be played as each lot sells. Bulls will be available to view at any time prior to sale day. For those who view prior to sale day, we will credit you $50 on a purchase of a bull.

Guarantee: Bulls are guaranteed as breeders; if failing to be satisfac-tory, they must be reported to us by August 1 2015. Our goal is for each and every customer to be satisfied; in not we will work with each individu-al to resolve any issues.

Genetic Conditions: With the recent advances in DNA technology, scientists are unlocking genetic advantages of individual animals. At the same time, they are discovering genetic conditions such as AM or CA. Some of which have been in the bovine population for years. The newest condition to be uncovered is DD (Developmental Duplication). To ensure we have the latest genetic information, we have tested all the offspring that have genetic carriers in their pedigree. Lots that were identified as carriers are; Lots 4,7,16.17.34,35,36. Lots identified as free are; 8,22, and 28. Given the new DNA technologies, it is a given that new and more genetic conditions will be identified in all breeds. We will continue to monitor and convey genetic defect information to you.

Wintering: Bulls will be semen tested the end of March or early April. When the bulls have completed breeding soundness exam we will begin delivering. Bulls being winter here will be charged a fee of $180 per head at time of purchase; which includes feeding, semen testing, delivery and insurance for 6 months.

TT Final Chapter is an interesting place to start. Even though he is named Final Chapter, he earns the right to be the lead off. This homo polled and homo black Final Answer son, combines all the right answers. Final Chapter is the last direct offspring of 613R, as she injured her hip and had to be sold. April’s Abby 613R was the dam to our featured and high selling bull in 2011. In 2012, Final Chapters grandmother had our high selling bull. Not only is he backed by a tremendous cow family, this guy flat out performed. He was born at 65 pounds and weaned over 700. These Final Answer sons are still being sought after by progressive cattlemen for their calving ease and outstanding growth, and ability to sire fantastic females. Final Chapter is a heifer bull prospect that will add performance and outstanding maternal traits to his offspring.

TT North Star has been a standout since he was a calf. He is an attractive patterned bull with a big top and hip, exhibiting as much muscle as anything in the sale. TT Red Zone leads off our second group of reds and is a great one to lead with. This homo polled non-diluter bull has been a ranch favorite all year. He tallied the 2nd heaviest 205 for the red bulls with an 817 adjusted weaning weight. He is a moderate framed that packs a tremendous amount of meat in a smaller package. He is deep, stout, and thick, all the attributes for a future herd sire. His dam has a calving interval of 335 days, with 103 BW ratio and 103 WW ration on 3 head.
