Transport Public transport On Curaçao we have a fairly good and reasonably priced bus system. There are the big buses and the small mini buses. The main bus stops are in Punda and Otrabanda, the big buses depart from there and have set routes. They only stop at the bus stops along the way. A one-way ride costs about: fl. 1,60-2,00/$1-1.5 The mini-buses drive about everywhere, you can stop them by waving your hand. Their route is displayed in the front window (check if they go to your destination before getting in) When you need to stop to get out you can just yell “para!” (stop). Make sure you have small change ready to pay the bus driver when getting out. Costs are: fl. 2-3/$1.5-2 Taxis Our receptionist can call you a taxi during working hours. You can also call a taxi yourself, we would suggest calling Dushi taxi, if she can’t pick you up yourself she will arrange a trusted fellow taxi driver for the same rate:

Car rental The best way to get around in Curaçao is definitely by car. There are many car rental options on Curaçao. Aside from the international car rental companies, there are also sev-eral reliable local choices. Usually car rentals don’t rent out a car for 1 day; they start at a 3 day minimum. In high season rental cars can be scarce, it is advised to book a car well in advance. International car rental offices: Avis 462-5907/ Budget 868-3466/ Alamo 869 4433/ Hertz 888-0088 Rates start around $55-60/ fl. 98 per day for a small car, including ob., excluding all risk and registration of extra drivers. Local car rentals, support local business! There are quite a few local car rentals out there. We would suggest the below 2; one is a bit more expensive, but offers other advantages. The 2nd is cheaper, in case you just need a ride from A-B. Keep in mind that we would always suggest to opt for the safer option, you don’t want to be stuck with car problems somewhere you are not familiar. Platina Car Rental: They are not the cheapest, but they almost always have a car available, the cars are new and reliable, also available on short notice and have no minimum rental period. Prices for rental from 2 days start at $ 42,50/ fl. 75 per day (1 day rental for $56/fl.100) Prices are including o.b., all risk insurance and free registration of extra drivers. Discounts available for 2-week and 1-month rentals. Mention code: CMPC15 to get fl.5 discount on the daily rental rate. www.platinacarrentalcuracao.com Luuk’s Car Rental: Want a cheap, simple car, without a/c or other extras, just to get you from A to B? Then Luuk might have a solution for you. He has a few cars available for fl. 30 per day/fl. 200 per week/ fl.750 month incl o.b, PA-insurance. Min. 3 day rental. Call or whatsapp: +5999 5269867 Mention code: Curacao Marine to get this special tariff.
Parking on the premises Boat owners are welcome to park their cars on the yard after working hours and in the weekends. During working hours, Monday to Friday from 8:00-17:00, we kindly request you to park outside, due to work safety and moving space for the trailer. You can park on the upper parking; enter between the upper & main yard. During high season it could be that we request all cars to be parked outside during the work day.

Tips on accommodation When mooring at the marina or when out on the hard at Curacao Marine you are allowed to live aboard your yacht. When the yacht is in storage at the upper yard, this is not possible. Check out the cost of services on our website or inform at the office. Use of shower facilities are included. Electricity & water usage will be measured through the meters. After many nights on your yacht you might feel the need to sleep in a normal bed for a change.
