MARKETING INNOVATION IN GENERATING SALESFEES | FMM MEMBER – RM583 | NON-MEMBER – RM689

Globalisation is imminent. Current global downturn limits the market size and invites new competitors. Marketing industrial products in Malaysia as well as regionally will therefore become more complex and challenging. Many Malaysians manufacturers and suppliers of industrial products are still unaware of their threats and opportunities. Failure of companies to understand and apply effective marketing innovations will eventually lead to declining sales and profitability. In order to compete, companies need to leap out of status quo and start to equip themselves with comprehensive knowledge of innovation in marketing techniques and learn to create sustainable competitive advantage.

Jan 16-17 SBL

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION FOR CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT ACCORDING TO ISO 9001:2015FEES | FMM MEMBER – RM583 | NON-MEMBER – RM689

The two new clauses in ISO 9001:2015, Performance Evaluation and Improvement address the performance evaluation, improvement and internal assurance elements of the newly configured standards. For both, there are requirements broadly similar to the existing ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, but with a more holistic approach and a stronger drive for evidence of evaluation of key performance data. Overall these two Clauses provides the common and consistent framework and structure for these evaluation and improvement parts of the standards.

ESSENTIAL MANAGEMENT TOOLS FOR EXECUTIVESFEES | FMM MEMBER – RM583 | NON-MEMBER – RM689

If people are to become leaders, they must believe that they can be a positive force in the world. Executives, Managers and potential Managers who use the Executive’s Toolkit more frequently are seen by others as better leaders. In addition, people working with leaders who use this Management Tools are significantly more satisfied with the actions and strategies of their leaders, and they feel more committed, excited, energised, influential and powerful.

ERGONOMICS, CHEMICAL SAFETY, HEARING CONSERVATION AND EMERGENCY PLANNINGFEES | FMM MEMBER – RM583 | NON-MEMBER – RM689

As industrialisation becomes more rapid, so has the number of accidents at the working places. Often, these accidents happen due to ignorance or the lack of knowledge in preventing them. Accidents cost money. Besides, they dampen the morale of the employees and tarnish the reputation of the company. Prevention is better than cure, and prevention of accidents can best be achieved when there is an urge to do so that stems from the hearts of the employees. The preventive measures mentioned here apply to Ergonomics, Chemical Safety, Hearing Conservation and Emergency Planning aspects at the workplace.

Jan 18-19 SBL

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS ACTFEES | FMM MEMBER – RM583 | NON-MEMBER – RM689

The impact of Labour Laws is so significant in today’s Employment scene that it can no longer be delegated to the Human Resource Department alone. It is the function of every Management Staff to know the Labour Laws especially the Industrial Relations Act, 1967 in order to be a more effective and to achieve a better working life for both the employees and the employer.

Jan 18-19 SBL

PROCESS ENHANCEMENT TECHNIQUESFEES | FMM MEMBER – RM583 | NON-MEMBER – RM689

TQM is always a good model for continuous improvement in processes (manufacturing and transactional). For this continuous improvement to work, PDCA cycle had acted as the main and best tool. However, beginning of 1990, DMAIC, initiated by Motorola, came strongly overshadowing TQM - PDCA. Many companies used to distinguish themselves either deploying DMAIC or deploying PDCA to tackle their process problems. In recent years TQM made a strong come back. A more matured TQM managed many best practices (Lean, Six Sigma, Zero Defect) under TQM flagship. This programme explains how the new TQM enhances process quality performance. DMAIC and PDCA have both become the most popular methodologies targeting different problem categories.

MAINTENANCE OF PLANT MACHINE COMPONENTSFEES | FMM MEMBER – RM583 | NON-MEMBER – RM689

Many users of plant machine components such as belts, gears, chains, hoist, and ball bearings are just relying on basic instincts and experience on their daily encounter of problems on this components. Most of the time it is “eye see, hand do” approach. At times when this approach fails, costly failures and undesired incidents results. Some times this pose serious safety violation and very near miss situations. It is very important for technicians in this mechanical field understand what, when, where and how to use these components properly. It is with this aim, maintenance of plant machine components was developed to educate, enlighten and enrich the knowledge of mechanical repairmen so that both efficiency and effectiveness are maximised.

Communication functions to grease differences in information between mediums – relating this to more obvious scenario, think about a task assigned to a team. There are people within the team, between teams, and across the organisation who must share certain information. While some information must not be disclosed for technical reason, most information must be shared (i.e. due date for project submission, new SOP for material handling, customer complaints). Problems will arise if this information is not communicated through out. There are many reasons for this information breakdown such as lack of time, authority matter, or simply people being irresponsible. These are referred as Communication Roadblocks. This course focuses on this issue aiming to remove these roadblocks so that a task can be performed with excellent result.
