CC02 – Change Engineering Change Request Definition:- Engineering Change Request will contain the object to be changed. E.g. BOM or routing to be changed using this Engineering Change Request Engineering change request will be normally created by the design department. Objective This document will explain how to change Engineering Change Request after performing the task in the object. I.e. after performing create or change BOM. Prerequisites:- ECR number must be available. Task must be completed on the object. Required authorization Menu path Logistic Central Functions Engineering --> Engineering Change Management Change Number CC02 - Change Double click Change
Note:- Press F4 to search the change number
In this example change number is being searched based on the valid from date
Press
List of ECR numbers will appear satisfying the search condition & select the appropriate one & press ENTER.

Select the item Press - Detail view
Press the Status icon to set the status to the object. Note: - If there is more than one object for each object this procedure has to be done.
Press in Complete change Note:- At this stage, using this ECR, changes must have been done to the object, i.e in this case to the material BOM TEST-FGPI-01. Otherwise warning message appear as below
Pleas go to CS01 or CS02 do create or change BOM with this change number and come back again. If you do not then after releasing the change you can no more use this ECR number.

Press to set the status.
Press in Close ECO Press in Release ECO

Click Now this ECR is completely released and no changes can be done. Press Save icon – to save. Message appear at the bottom
Case no.1 No more changes can be processed with that ECR number. If you attempt to use that number to change any other object, which is not in
that Engineering Change Request, it will give the error message. Example Below is the screen shot shows the error message when attempt to change the BOM of one material, which is not in that ECM.
Case no.2 Even if the material is mentioned as the object in the ECR, once it is released it can’t be processed twice with the same number after release.
